taxpayer. but the democrats on this committee feel that they have a right on behalf of the people to see the tax returns for a couple of reasons. to make sure that president trump with his significant wealth is following the same rule as everyone else. he was, in fact, the first candidate in 50 years not to release hisre rns. they also want to see if there are conflicts of reinterest, n influence concerns that could impact the decisions he's making in the oval office. >> what can we expect from the attorney general's testimony that's coming up t sweek? >> reporter: that's going to be interesting. william barr was set to testify tomorrow and wednesdayap before opriations committees. the money, his budget for the justice department. now that will likely focus on this mueller report that he says he's redacting, pulling out secret grand jury information and other classified information before turni it ove to congress. because he came to a different conclusion than the speci counsel did about obstruction, democrats say, no, they want to see the whole thing.
