doug and ameka are b in two minutes. s $50,000 on the line for one local hospital's childhood cancer research >> the winner depends on a contest at the washington auto show. >> tommy mcfly reports from the nvention center. >> reporter: if you make your way to the conventionter for the washington auto show between now and saturday you'll see half a dozen people with their hands on a hyundai. they're doing this to raise a lot of money for pediatric cancer research, one of two incredibled.c. organizations. have a few doctors with us. there is a competition going on under way to try to raise $50,000 in research. what would that money do for your cance program? >> oh, it will be- it will be an invaluable addition to our research program. nce pediatric cancer research is dealing with tumors that are rare, we don't get the same amount of grants from the

federal government that goeto breast cancer or prostate cancer. >> first i have to thank hyundai for getting it. pediatric cancer has gone from nearly lethal to 75% cure rane. we to help push that to 100% with research. we're have cutting edge therapy and this funding will hospital support for the research at children's. >> i know you're probably thinking the losing hospital doesn't get anything? that's not true. even for participating the second plac helicopter getospit $25,000. and one of those folks will meet thishyundai. we will meet them coming up on news 4 at 5:00 if they're still here. >> we saw them dancing. there was two of those people that went and did moves like this. they did not have their hands. if we look at the voorks we c-- video, we cantill fix this.
