7:50 am
thunderstorms, severe thunderstorms all the way fromk kentown to uc atlanta into alabama. toado watch for alabama and only 7:30 or 6:30 their time, central time, this storm system movingur way, sohe weather will be changing and changing dramatically as we continue ug thut the course of the afternoon. for us right now, no organized rain showers but starting to creep up slowly but surely from virginia. we'll have that throughout the morning and keep updated. here it is throughout the day today, plenty of clouds to go around. as i said, lines of showers from the west to the east acrs the shenandoah valley to our area throughout the day and, again, line of thunderstorms, becoming inre organized as we have more heat and any sun at all. so as we go through the day, 7:00 p.m., linene of the thunderstorms, we say act two, we should say, act two moves across the area at 9:00 p.m. 3:00 a.m., depending on the time, could be closer to
7:51 am
midnight or could b little bit later. line after line of showers moves out of our area and until all of it is done and, yes, thiss a t of snow across our area to the west. we'll keep an eye on that as well. here is the impact. we expect heavy rain, strong winds and not really a tornadic system. y is early. we do want to keep an eye on that. with that, thunderstorms, what toexpect, heavy rain, of course, possible flooding, flooding is a concern wit the strong rains that we will get. if the storms become severe, findshelter, go indoors, get indoors. please be safe, we'll keep you here, stay with channel 4 throughout the day, we'll give throughout the day, we'll give you the updates as w see e so, jardiance asks... when it comes to type 2 diates, are you thinking about your heart? well, i'm managing my a1c, so i should be all set. right. actually, you're still at risk for a fatal heart attack or stroke. even if i'm taking heart medicine, like statins or blood thinners? yep! that's why i asked my doctor what else i could do... she told me about jardiance. that's right.
7:52 am
jardiance significantly reduces the risk of dying from a cardiovascular event for adults who have type 2 diabetes and known heart disease. that's why the american diabetes association recommends the active ingredient in jardiance. and it lowers a1c? yeah- with diet and exercise. jardiance can cause serious side effects including dehydration, genital yeast or urinary tract infections, and sudden kidney problems. ketoacidosis is a serious side effect that may be fatal. a rare, but life-threatening, bacterial infection in the skin of the perineum could occur. stop taking jardiance and call your doctor right away if you have symptoms of this bacterial infection, ketoacidosis, or an allergic reaction. do not take jardiance if you are on dialysis or have severe kidney problems. taking jardiance with a sulfonylurea or insulin may cause low blood sugar. so, what do you think? now i feel i can do more to go beyond lowering a1c. ask your doctor about jardiance today.
