effect until 11:00 tonight. this is the line that we're going to be tracking. right now moving toward the east at 35 miles per hour. so timingut the potential for severe weather in your area moving through hagerstown after midnight at about 12:20. frederick at 1:00 a.m. gaithersburg at 1:45. the district atbout 2:25. now the severe weather threats tonight until 3:00 a.m. on your ndmonday, by far away heavy rain that could lead to flooding and strong gusty winds tha could produce wind damage and i can't rule out a few isolated tornado warnings. she's going to be tracking this line moving through your area hour by hour coming up and i'm going to let you know what that means then for the rest of your monday. >> thank you so much and as they just mentioned that second round ofeather is coming in after parts of our area got hit with some heavy rain right around dinner time.

>> the rain stopped awhile ago but theoads in this area are still wet. i want to show you what's happening here now. take a look at the flag whipping we have seen the winds pick up and they're onl expected to strengthen overnight. >> the rain came down deadly on market street in frederick and the i-270. corrid the skies darken and the winds pick up as the first band of storeny weather move through. thearowntown ea, a virtual ghost town. many stayed inside the bars and restaurants as then moved in. it was the same in leesburg and tyloudoun coun showers drenching the roadways. traffic was light. many chose ho staye to avoid potentially dangerous driving conditions. theorst is yet tome. severe weather is expected overnight.

so tt's everyone in thearea. tracking showers and going into southern frederick, you already had enough rndn there you'll get more. denoting that heavier rai coming down. but we have even heavier rain on the way. it's this line of storms that's getting ready to sweep into the d.c. metro area. here's the timing. it's moving at 35 miles per hour so we're expecting it to arrive within the next three hours. straight line winds and possible flooding. an isolated tornado can't be ruled out and we can even see hail with it. notice the time stamp. 2:00 a.m. things start to flare-up and pick up. that's when we'll gne the strong moving through. things are starting to improve

at 61 degrees and hang out in the 50s with wind gusts up ts 40 mer hour. by 7:00 p.m. 56 is feeling more like 40s when you factor in the wind. so the weather having a pretty low impactn your monday. the commute really no issues. maybe wind restrictions on the bay bridge. heading off to school, make sure that the kids have a jacket. but for the most part we'll be in weather alert mode tonightras we the line of thunderstorms moving through to bring the potential for heavy rainfall. damaging wind and isolated tornado or two and you'll be all over it tonight. that's right. things are quite to start the week but then we're right back to it. at the end of the week we'll track another ystem that has the potential to bring storms with it. we're going back into the 60s so
