left lane blocked byne the work zo zoming in, laurel -- zooming in, laurel, right lane getting by the work zone there. 95, live look northbound and southbound at powder mill, no major problems northbound or southbound. >> thank you. just before 3:00 this morning, paris firefers confirmed the fire at notre dame was fully extinguished. these are live pictures of the scene. right now crews are assessing the structural integrity of what's left of the landmark. >> firefighters started battling the massive fire yesterday afternoon. at one point flames shot out of the roof of the world-famous caeedral. the f caused thespire to collapse. the cathedral was in the middle of renovation at the time. here'ss whaft inside. historical items survived like the cross you see. an eyewitness described the most thespi spire collapsed.

>> at a certain point we saw the roofall down. and soon later the spire started bending and falling and -- smoke and flames an' people could believe it. >> here now are facts about notre dame. the cathedral has stood in paris for 850 years. construction started in 1163. every year aut million people tour the cathedral. the cause of the fire remains under investigation. > here in washington, the faithful gathered at st. matthew's cathedral in northwest washington for prayers. church leaders expressed solidarity with their brothers and sisters in france. last night people began dropping off flowers at the french embassy. donations are being accepted at the o basilica the shrine of the immaculate ckoconception in washington.

inside. stay with us for continuing coverage on the notre dame fire. ne week from today, that is the deadline democrats gave the irs to turn over six years worth of president trump's tax wsturns. >> nes tracie potts joins us live from the hill. the president's legal team is saying this is not legal, rrig? >>eporter: exactly. we don't know if it willpp haen. the treasury secretary says they'r weighing whether the request is even deappropriate. mocrats are pushing, but they're alsongort of goi through a back door. otheee committ here on capitol hill run by democrats, issuing subpoenas for the president's accounting firm. they want seven years worth of financial statements based on the testimony of his longtime lawyer, michael cohen. then there's anotherttee that issued a subpoena for four bas that the president did business with, including deutsche bank which loaned him $2 billion over a couple of decades. again, his legal team likely to ght all of that, already advising the accounting firm not to respond to that subpoena.
