attorney general will release ro rrt mueller'seport into russia's interference in20 the election. >> the v redactedsion will be after congress sometime 11:00 a.m., and that has some lawmakers upset. news4's justin finch is live on capitol hill this morning with more on why they're so upset. justin, good morning. >> reporter: molette, eun, good morning. that's right, the countdown h begun. we are just hours away from the release of that redacted mueller report. and attorney sneral bill bar i set to have a press conference this morning, and already that'g settinff fireworks here on capitol hill. it's set to start at 9:30 this morning. the attorney general set to unpack his take on that controversial report. that number is close to 400 pages. you might recall last month he did release a fourage summary of his findings that concluded noer conclusions w mayor daley as to whether theresident obstructed justice per the investigation. democrats are calling on barr to

cancel the conference, causing him of trying to control the herrative here. we'll get t report -- members of congress will -- between 11:00 a.m. and noon today. but soon we could also see hearings onephist including perhaps special counsel robert mueller being called here to capitol hill to a testifwell. back out live, as for when the rest of us couldee that report, perhaps sometime later in the day. oe public will have access to a redacted report the special counsel's website. democrats, of course, want a full o versionf that report. so look for the white house and members of congress to have a tug-of-war with this for the next few years as we get close to the elections in 2020. back to you. >> justin finch, live for us. thank you. 5:04. to the presidential race. former virginia governor terry mcauliffe says he's not throwing his hatn the ring. he talked to kwis cuomo about the -- chris cuomoey about not seek the democratic race for

president. he said he will campaign for those running for the genal assembly. mcauliffe says he knows he could have beaten president trump like a, quote, rented mule, end quote. he refused to ge a straight answer as whether he would run for governor again. this morning, d.c. police are searching for the man who gunned down a worker justin tryg to do his job. the shooting happened on southern avenue southeast yesterday afternoon. news4's drew wilder is live atua police headqers now with more. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. question here at mpdqu heters about who the shooter is d police't think that the shooter and the victim worked together. they actually think it's possible that the shooter went to the victim's work site looking for him, knowing he would be there to kill him. this video shows exactly where that happened. this was along the 5100 blocksof hern avenue, right there along the d.c./prince george's county line. the victim, whose name hasn't been released, was a contractor working h a paving job when

was shot and killed at about 4:30 wednesday. >> i heard the young man that was shot today was also some of theeople that was standing outside jobs. that's very unfortunate because he was trying to do something positive. >> reporter: police have not shared any suspect description. now safety right there along the d.c.-prince george's line has been a bger focus for both jurisdictions. today another killer is on the loose there. reporting live in npd headquarters, drew wilder, news4. >> just awful. thank you. 5:06. an update to the deadly shooting in germantown we t yesterday.t we're hearing from the heartbroken family of the 18-year-old man who died in the shooting. tray dawns was the parking lot on curry powder lane when gunfire erupted. it is unclear what sparked the shooting. three others were hurt. dawkins' family says he dreamed of graduating from montgomery college and going into business with his older brother. >> and he didn't deserve to die

that way because he wasn't the type of kid that would just go out here and hurt people or anything like that. he always tried to help. and -- and he tried to set an example for a lot of these young kids. >> montgomercounty police say the shooting was not random:happening to y, the first defense witness in bethesda tunnel house murder trial is set to take the stand. the prosecution rested its case yesterday. daniel beckwit is accused of depraved heart murder. he led a 21 -- he let a 21-year-old die when a fire broke out in the tunnels beneath his home. he hired kafra to help him dig a doomsday bunker. today's witness worked in the tunnel before kafra was hired. the man many known as the so-called american taliban will be out of prison soon. john walker lindh is accused of

helping the taliban after the september 11th atta os. he's getti of prison next month. he will be on probation for three years and will be required to have mental health tanatment his internet access . restricted this morning we're seeing surveillanceideo from that attempted atm theft at a 7-eleven in mat. rainier. look closely, the pickup backs up into the store to 'tis the atm inside. one try did not do it so they did it again. then the robbers pulled and pushed the a.m. machine trying -- atm machine trying to loado t on t the truck. no success. this was the fourth such incident in prince george's county in just over a month. pat collins spoke with prince george's county police. they think the crimes are connected. >> reporter: it all happened on wednesday. >> they all happened on wednesday. >> reporter: why? >> we're not sure at this point. that's under investigation. we're not sure if there's a reason to that, or if it's just coincidence. we te not sure, buthat's something we'll be looking into.

>> here's another look at the surveillance footage here. prince george's county police sayhe thieves actually waited follow police left -- waited until police left the area to do the crime. we're told the store clerk was sauf sauflted during ththis. ey are lookingnto similar atm-related crimes. a mancr desibed as emotionally disturbed was st. ted outside of patrick's cathedral in new york city. he tried to walk into the church with two cans of gas, lighterui and two extended butane lighters. a security guard was able to stop him before entering thend church a turned the man over to police. he told officials he was trying to cut through the church because his car ran out of gas. investigators checked his vehicle coulde was not out of gas. >> that incident in new york comes days after the devastating fire at the notre dame cathedral in paris. cathedral construction workers and security staff have been interviewed. investigators are trying to determine if the first fire ng rm sensor was wor

properly. it was 23 minutes before a second alarm went off on monday. by that time the fire was out of control. today the national cathedral will ring the bell in solidarity with. notre dame 5:10. new details this morning in a disturbing sexua assault in sterling. last week a woman woke up to a man she did not know inside of her apartment on north duke drive. he was touching her. the loudoun county sheriff's office released this sketch of the man they believe is responsible. he's described as about 20 years old with dark, curly enhair. wh the woman woke up the man an off. surveillance video of new england patriots owner robert kraft allegedly paying for and receiving sexual favors during a visit to a florida day spa will now be made public. various media outlets have been fighting for the release of the video in court. the video is from surveillance cameras placed inside the spas in mid-january are a key part of the prosecution's cas against

roadway. outeloop, inner loop, nohe matter wre you're headed, we're in good condition both ways. 295 second looking good. 5:31. today is the day the attorney general will release the much-anticipated mueller report into russian election interference and whether president trump obstructed jjustice. >> wt hours from seeing the report. some democrats are already upset about the process. justin finch live onapitol hill to explain. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. that's right. the mueller report now two years the making has had a lot of build-up here. and now members of congres are calling to see all of it. and they're going to be upset because william barr is said to release a redacted form of the report today. first he'll call a press conference at 9:30 this morning before releasing the redted version to congress. last month you might recall he also released a four-page

summary in which he said the oueller report f no conclusion about the president's involvement in obstruction. now among house democrats, many are calling on barr to cancel that press conference. they're also accing him of giving cover to the white house and the president. house judiciary committee jerry na explain idea they're saying this. >> central concern here is that the attorney generalr is not allowing the facts of the report to speak for themselves but is trying to baken the narrative about the report to the benefit of the white house. ol course, he's doing this just before the hay weekend. so it's extraordinarily difficult for anybody to react. >> reporter: and so our timeline for today is this -- members of congress get the report between 11:00 a.m. and noochbn. after that the public will get access on line.ts the democraant full access to the report and say they are willing to fight to get it.

we're live in capol hill, justin finc ws4. >> thank you. this morning, virginia state police are warning parents about this man. 33-year-old schuyler stewart karato. he's accused of using social media sites such as facebook ant tickk to find his victims. he establishes a friendship with 1children between and 13 and asks them for nude photos. investigators are workingddo identify aional victims after finding hundreds of screen shots featuring child pornography. police say he goes by the name of tony karato on social media. they're asking anyone who may have had contact with him to come forward. ts morning, a local music teacher is facing abuse charges involving his young students. fairfax county police say two victims have come forward ef accusingey cummins of having inappropriate contact with them for years.cu mmins is a private music teacher and the founder of virginia music adventures which

ofn a 7-eleven store clerk is injured in prince george's county. police are searching for serial atm robbers. this is surveillance video of an attempted smash and grab early yesterday morning in mt. rainier. police say this is the fourth such crime in the county in just over a month. all of them on wednesdays. police tell news4 they believe the crimes are connected. many you remember the tragic story of wendy martinez who was killed by a stranger while jogging near logan circle last year. shd been out running because she was training for the boston marathon. this pt monday,er fiance ran that race. this is video of daniel hincopie reaching the ten-miar mr and hugging wendy's family. he carried a sign that read, "love wins, wendy wins." daniel said while he may have been physically running by himself. he wasn't alone. >> a pnt in the race when it was really tough.

threport, and what should we look for here? >> reporter: yeah in terms o outing white house staffers, that has been a concern. there are people like former chief of staff reince priebus, former special counsel for the white house don mcghan, who spent a lot of time talking to the mueller team and will what they say be identified with them in this report, we don't know. t we know they spent lot of time of behind closed doors with the mueller team. the other thing is what is the report going to tell us? t"there's a "washington p report out saying it may not be as heavily redacted as people think. l it may behtly redacted. so not as much information taken out which could tell us things like why the mueller team't couldn come to a conclusion on obstruction of justice. repoedly because there were concerns about the president's motives. and it wasn't clear in some cases what the motives were. and also their analysis of his tweets, his private statements, his conduct, all coming outn the report today.
