4:01 pm
things and we could see some real severe weather during the second round this evening. >> we'll see the second round moving in within the next couple of hours and impact us until about midnight. here's a look at storm team 4 radar. this is this second round. i circled it in yellow. it is wupushing out of the area round number one. we are getting peaks of sunshine into virginia. it's also really muggy out there right now. that is also acting as fuel for these storms back to our west. with that, everybody is under a tornado watch until midnight tonight. so i can't rule out an isolate tornado. i think especially with the second round, i'm seeing a bigger concern for gusty straight line winds, potentially up to 60 miles an hour and some heavy rain too. that's why everybody's also under a flood watch until 5:00 a.m. on saturday for the potential of 1 to 2, even up po 3 inches of rain. o if you're traveling tonight, never drive-thru a flooded road. turn around, don't drown is what we like to see, and that's
4:02 pm
certainly going to be good advice as we track heavy rain. >> before we get you go, is there any one particular area you think might be at higher risk for flooding or tornadoes tonight? >> the national weather service has issued this flash flood watch and tornado watch for the entire area, so everybody has equal chance for dealingtoith severe ss and very heavy rainfall. i'm going to be tracking that with future weather coming up in about 15 minutes. >> we'll check back with you in just a bit. stay weather ready for us here at news 4. if you have to step away from the tv, me sure you have your nbc washington app. if we have any breaking weather alerts, we'll send them to you on your phone. now to breaking news about the measles. a fourth case has beenis confird fternoon in maryland. health officials say the cases are confined to a smallrea of the state close to pikesville. best way to protect yourself and your family is to gette vaccina
