we're outde the jackson united methodist church. darcy? >> r that'sht, justin, we're here at the church where this remains a very active investigation. i will step oust of the wayo show you detectives and officers are still here on the scene. we've been able to confirm there are two people a shot wounded in the parking lot of this church this afternoon, while, like you said, a funeral was taking place signed thehu crch. the frederick county eriff's office got the call 2:45 this afternoon. when he they gothire, that's when they found the two victims. they are expected to survive eir injuries. we do not know their ages or what their contions are at this point. police say the shooter got away in a car. we have no description of the car at the time but authorities lieve the gunman left the area. this is located right next to ballinger creek middle school for those who know this area and police are saying they do not believe this is a random crime.

right now condolences are pouring in after the death of a local cycling advocate that worked here in the district. he was killed yesterday after police say a driver in a stolen van ran a red light and struck him. today his friends and cycling community gathered in northeast d.c. we spoke to a close friend about

the outpouring of support now coming in from around the world. >> he really reached a lot of people. i think it's heartening to see that. i was -- my day stopped when i yesterday.s death but the reason i'm going today is because there's such an uplift of support. s we now know the driver of thattolen van, robert little wi jr., is charge second degree murder. today marks 20 years since that mass shooting at high school. a service is currently under way to remember the 13 victims in littleton, colorado. this marks the end of three days of events and vigils to remember the 12 students and teacher who were shot and killed by two columbine seniors before they turned the weapo on themselves. >> our thoughts, prayers and hearts go out to the families of all of the victims of this seeless act. and yet 20 years later the strength,nd resiliency courage of this community have given all

maybe this was you today, among the many people cleaning up after a rough night across our region. a and tro a tornado pounded our area near reston. news4 has a closer look at the damage. >> big trees went down and smaller trees too even though in the in the tornado's path had cleaning up to do. big storms downsized trees that fell across center harbor road as well as edd hall's pickup. not far away pruning tools and neighborly labor helped clear the parking lot of this development so cars could get in and out. it looked a lot worse last night. by morning's light -- >> we could actually taket all in. >> reporter: you could easily say ed had the most popular pickup, customized by high winds. these trees were given a clean
