danielle beckwith is charged with second degree murder and involuntary manslaughter. the judge said they have a duty under the law to tryo work together and discuss the case and reach a unanimous verdict. prosecutors call this house a death trap but the jury struggled to determine if it is also a murder crime scene. in september of 2017, fire broke out at the house on danbury road in bethesda. its owner, 27-year-old daniel beckwithas charged with second degree murder and involuntary manslaughter. he didn't cause the fire but created dangerous conditions there. it caused the death of this man who was helping dig a tunnel to protect beckwi from north

cro kore missiles. beckw's lawyers argue he's a strange young man saying the eare and the d was a mystery. >> reporter: the jury is continuing their deliberations.e will be updating you, the latest live from the montgomery courthouse, chris gordon, news4. i'm erika gonzalez with more breaking news. the search for a missing 5-year-old in illinois ends with a grim discovery and a doubling arrest. a short time ago, detectives say they believe they found the boy's body. his paren are facing murder charges. a.j. was reported missing a week ago. they put him to bed and the next day they couldn't fin him. they say the child's parents provided new information that led authorities to find the boy's body in a shallow grave today.

warmer temperatures mean for mosquito season. amelia draper is here to explain. you know. >> i was outside last night for about 10 minutes and my leg was covered in mosquito bites. climate central ran theumbers. check this out for our area. between 1980 and 1989, our mosquito seasoe, averag 114 days. since 2006, our mosquito season now averages 143 days. so, here in the d.c. area, we've seen our mosquito season grow by about a month overall. just up the road in baltimore, it has seen the biggestnc iase in its mosquito season outside of all the major cities in the united states. why is this happening? warmer temperatures and higher hudity levels as well. the national climate assessment put out this statistic.
