>> wow. 90 is hot. thank you, chuck. 4:01. we're following breg news in the district. police say a man has died after being stabbed at the potomac avenue metro station. this happened just before midnight. no arrests have been made. we're working to learn the victim's name. we'll update you as we learn more. we turn now to saturday's deadly stiagogue sh. this is an area look at the synagogue in poway, california. worshippers including young children were gathered inside when gunfire erupted n the final day of passover. one woman was killed and two men including a rabbi and a young girl were injured. >> cory smit ise live desk following the latest developments. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. hundreds of people gathered last night for an emotional vigil. this was the gatheringop of pe spreading messages of peace and love. people coming together to pray and show support for one another. and those who skepreading message of love.

investigationom as they bec available. in baltimore, one pern was killed and seven others were wounded in a sunday afternoon isshooting. th happened during a sidewalk cookout. approached ay a man the crowd and opened fire. investigators believe someone started shooting in return. as many as 40 shell casing markers could be seen on the street and sidewalk. the acting mayor asked anyone with information to come forward. >> people know who's doing these shootings and who's targeting different people. for people not to come forward and say who have done this, retaliation, that's not the way to go. >> no arrests have been made. also developing this morning, investigators in seattle are trying to figure out if weather played a role in the collapse of a crane over the weekend. four people were killed when that crane snapped on top of ae new googl building on saturday. a college student and two iron workers were among those killed. there were reports of strong

learn weather the man accused of killing five people at the offices of the "capital gazette" newspaper will enter a guilty plea. jarod ramos and hisen def team were given additional time to look at the option because of the volume of materials the defense had to reew. his attorneys were looking to enter a plea of not criminally responsible. today, michael avenatti will be arraigned in a california court. the well-known lawyer is used of stealing millions from clients, lying to investigators, and cheating on his taxes. enatti was indicted earlier this month on 36 counts including wire and burbank fraud. avatti -- andank fraud. avenatti previously represented adult film star stormy daniels nwho said she had a affair with donald trump. president trump hasied the affair. and the president appeared at a rally inreen bay, wisconsin, over the weekend, and once again sparked controversy with his words about immigration. migrants e crowd that being held at the border are already being relocated to

senator richard lugar. senator lugar died at inova fairfax hospital and vascular institute yesterday. he sfered from a rare neurological disorder. he was 87 years old. lugar, who was a republican, was touted for his bipartisanship. vice president mike pence offered his condolences sayinga indi and america will never forget his leadership and service. former president barack obama tweeted that lugar proved magmatism and decency work. an overhaul of leadership at the national rifle association. the organization president, oliver north, will not serve a second term. the turmoil inside the nra was evident overhe weekend as the group met for its national convention in indianapolis. in a statement to the group on saturday, north said he is poepping down because he's lost the sup of nra leadership. the move comes after top executive wayne la pierre said nort was trying to push him out. n>> it is 4:06. investigators i sri lanka continue their search for the
