assaults in centre vil on the same day. on may 18th, a woman was on a walking path in braddock road when a man ran behind her and touched her inappropriately and ran away. something similar happened to a w on walney road. you should only walk in well lit areas you're familiar with and try to take another person along on your wa new at 5:00, we have learned detectives are looking at two teenagers at a deadly stabbing and robbery on the metro. it was late at night. d.c. police found a man stabbed multiple times on 14th street not far fr the potomac avenue metro. that man died at the hospital and we don't have his name because police are trying to notify his family. he within last half hour these two people are wanted in connection with this crime. 18 years ,o wanted for first

one of the students killed in that unc shooting at charlotte showed tremendous courage. police say 21-year-old riley howell ran toward the gunman when he opened fire. he may have prevented more people fromin b hurt but howell and ellisli par were kindle the attack. police identified trystan terrell as the gunman. they say he with drew from the school and no longer a student. yesterday was the last day of classes for the semester. questioning for the response to a gun going off inside a classroom today. no one got hurt but that doesn't stop a mom and dad from thinking through the what ifs. david, you're thinking through the details of what may have d

details on this story. pat. >> reporter: jim, wendy, the affidavit in this murder case is 27 pages long. there are nine witnesses. one of theim witnesses clas to know the suspect. that witness identified the suspect as the killer. in the words of the witness, i have no doubt about it. i never thought he'd do it. this appears to be a twisted case of road rage. the murder victim, 57 krld barry holmes, a flaor man f a road construction company. the murder suspect, a pedestrian, 39-year-old terrance barnes from southeast. now, it happened april 17th at a road repair project on southern avenue. according to court documents,

the victim, mr. holmes, told the suspect, barnes, not to cross the street. barnes told a woman nearby to run. he said, i'm about to end this "n" word's life. according to these court papers, witnesses say mr. holmes began to run but that he stopped, put his hands on his knees like he was winded. when he stood up, they say barnes shot him at point-blank range, right in the chest. in a statement to detecbves, nes tells a whole different story. said he pulled his weapon because mr. holmes swung his sign at him. he says there was a struggle over the gun,but he says it was mr. holmes who pulled the trigger and then shot himself. now, after the shooting, barnes
