happened, what the circumstances were. and they felt like they really weren't getting antswers. there were some protests, there were some vigils and a lot of people wanting to get answers from d.c. police again about the circumstances. they're still waiting for s anwers. >> so police didn't have a warrant for the search. what did they find? did they find anything and what d it have to do with the g?ash, if anythin >> we're still trying to figure that out. this search showed up about one week after that fatal crash. the som sayse was with family members outside on her own property talking about her son's funeral when police just suddenly showed up, and you can s see -- this was recorded. you can see on the video police walking around the property. other members of the family saying, why are you here, what are you doing hee, do you have a warrant? please looefeave. in the course of that, they were asked numerous times to leave the property or show a warrant and the police officers didn't say anything. just proceeded around the

property, opened a trash can lid. on the video you can s that. whether this had anything to do with this dirt bike crash, we don't know, because according to the lu, there was never a search warrant, and when there is not a search warrant, you don't have a return or affidaviy saying whhey're searching or what they're looking for. we do know the person who was targeted in the lawsuit was part of gun recovery unit and hat's been a controversial unit within the d.c. police department, and police were tellinge that person was reassigned away from that unit and that the officers involved were disciplined, but we don't now exactly what that discipline was. >> so the case is still underi. as far as the otive us any col they generally don't talk about lawsuits, but the police union made it very clear they're supporting this officer.t y said the lawsuit is baseless and they look forward to supporting the officer in court. they say he's a highly decorated officer six years on the force. >> all right. we'll be following up on that.

also deping this morning, we've learned that a helicopter crash in the chesapeake bay has turned deadly. >> it's so sad.s authorities two bodies were found after a helicopter went in the water near kent island. the coast guard tells us it happened late yesterday the two men had boarded a helicopter that left from tipton airport just outside fort meade. they later found the wreckage in about 55 feet of water. s authoritiesoke about what the weather was like at the time of that crash. >> i think it was just overcast at the time. we probably had a light breeze here, about 10 miles an hour, so it hasn't really bee -- the weather conditions doesn't seem to be a factor. >> authorities have identified the victimss charles knight of mt. airy and matt clark of pasadena. officials are recovering the wreckage there and determining the cause of that accident. this morning d.c. police are
