massive search the suv that went into tte war here near roosevelt island. crews responding around 10:00. an investigator spokes to a witness who said they saw the suv go into the water. a search at the banks found tire tracks, thus indicating to investigators that, yes, indeed, somebody had gone into the water. investigators were searching by land. they were searching by air and also had divers inwa the er looking for any signs of this vehicle or anybodyho may as well been inside -- may have been inside at the time. what's making this difficult for the recovery effort is the fact that obviously you havethe potomac and the waterway here, a large area. there's a good chance that this car may no longer be in the area where it is believed to went into th take a listen to what investigators told u last night. >> there is the possibility of this vehicle, if it's in the water that it could have floated some distance. that is a possibility we're et cetera ploring. the cot guard was going to do
