the fairfax county courthouse. julie, what's the story here? >> reporter: well, this y's name, yohannes nessibu. in the ethiopia, the newspapers say that just daysfter the killings, he bought a $3,000 one-way ticket to that country, thinking he uld evadeolice but last friday, a special fbi plane brought him back to fairfax county and next stop for him, fairfax county c frt where hees two counts of murder. accused killer yohannes nessibu fairfax count county detectives who refused to ive up on their case even after the suspect fled ethiopia. >> after two years and nearly six months, justice day has arrived. >> reporter: the bodies of henok and kedest were found in late december of 2016. henok was shot dead, kedest's body found in a backyard in

burke. a friend saying he was stunned the loss of the one-time college soccer player. >> i've been just trying to piece together everything so far and it's just heartbreaking. >> reporter: within days, detectives identified yohannes nessi as the alleged killer. >> as soon as that connection was made, he was alrdy wheels up out of the united states. >> reporter: the distance did not deter investigators. they built their case and indicted yohannes nessibu in march of 2017. the fbi and department of justice office of international affrs began to negotiateith ethiopian authorities to convince them to take the accused killer into custody to allow him to be extradited. it's been big news in ethiopia, first when nessibu was arrested, then returned to the u.s. >> if criminals attempt to rfr their crimes, we will work relessly to bring them to justice no matter where they try to hide and no matter how many years it may take. >> reporter: police refused to provide details about the crime itself or the motiveuthis search warrant obtained by news4 reveals nessibu had gone to henok's home expecting to buy

breaking news now on amu er case we've been talking about for months. today we're learning a man found dead at a bethesda bus stop this inter was actually killed i prince george's county and police sas the murder appearo be the result of a domestic dispute. news4's aimee cho is live along old georgetown road whe the dy was found back in february. aimee? >> reporter: yeah, leon, that's rht, i want to showyou that bus stop right over there, that is where the body was originally discovered on old georgetown road. now, police sie they b it was the victim's girlfriend and son who killed him along with help from an acquaintance. a body found curled up in the fetal position wrapped in a bag and discovered at a bus stop.at islice say th man was 25-year-old franc de la cruz from college park. according to police, he was dating this woman, 37-year-old jenny james, and the two had a domestic dispute before he was killed. police say they think james anda her 17-yold son, jose, worked together to kill de la cruz. the mother and son allegedly

but breaking story tonight from our news room. >> news4 has learned a patient was diagnosed with laboratory confirmed scabies last wednesday. as for the staffers potentially exposed too, they're being treated now. the agency won't say if those workers have confirmed cases. they say those works have been impacted. this potential outbreak happening at a community living center, a 120-bed facility for tients with chronic conditions at the medical center complex. those are conditions that needon additi care. medical center officials say they took proper precautions though we're told theother patients, their families, the staff have all been notified. scabies is not an infection, it is an infestation as mites burrow into the skin. it causes pain d intense itching. a sporadic outbreak occurred at a va medical center in 2011 salem, virginia. the scare, the latest in a series of challenges for the d.c. va medical center which is

to be a tragic outcome to an incident that we first reported last night. i want you to take a look down there, that orange buoy that has been put out there by the police and fire boats is believed to be the location of the suv that has been found, according to our sources, with a body inside. now, police and firefighters were called here last night for a report that an suv had gone into the potomac river. i can y tell that we are standing at the edge of a parking lu that is almost jst probably three or four feet sloperdown into the rive and in all likelihood, that suv was robably parked up here in th parking lot and for whatever nt reason, wento the water. this search has been going on throughout the night, earlier today, and then just a sho me ago, as you reported, we are told that an suv has been found inside the water there with what sources say is a body
