training. officials are investigating the circumstances surrounding this accident. six other marines were treated for minor injuries. an update on a disturbing story of seven kids left in a hot car in charles county. we've learned all quite young. not one of the kids older than 4 years old. the temperature was in the low 80s yesterday afternoon, but much hotter in the car. investigators say a 37-year-old woman abandoned the children in a monte carlo parked at st. charles town center for about 20 minutes. s she was insiopping. she was the mother of two of the kids, we're told, and baby-sitting the others.he one of thildren in the car was able to call 911. when officers showed up e ey found r not running, the windows were rolled up. first responders treated them at the scene. police are not yet releasing the woman's name. charged with confinement of children in a motor vehicle. looks like the measles s epidemic igetting worse in maryland. the maryland health department confirming a fifth case of measles.

now to a story you'll see only on news 4. nearly a year after a tragic accident claimed the life of a fairfax county third grader we hear from the parents for the first time. helping a teacher operate a motorized partition and got caught between the parti the wall. changes are made across the country and the commonwealth to protect other students. consumer reporter susan hoge sae following ttory from the beginning and sat down with wesl wesley's parents earlier this week. >> reporter: well, our hearts could know go out more to this family. not only will may 18th mark the one-year anniversary since they

actually a park police officer who noticed that and out abundance of caution indeed decided to close it down while they study the problem and get it fixed as fast as possible. fortunately, this is on the weekend. don't have heavy commuter traffic. hope to have it straight at least by nday when rush hour starts again. so, again, gw parkway northbound closed bean chambridge road and the beltway because of a sinkhole. back to you. >> derrick, thanks. .>> 8:35, your time n this morning a tragedy unfolding in prince george's county. a woman was shot to death after a day at work. now the arch is on for her kill perp police say the gunman walked up to the woman with a gun pointed towards her as she left her offe in greenbelt. news 4 jackie bensen picks up the story from there. >> reporter: it was 5:00. quitting time when the victim started walking out of the front door of this building into the parking lot. people were all around. police say the victim was

virginia. the associated press is reporting two people are dead td multiple people injured. all ofis happened yesterday morning in rockbridge county near the west virginia state line. you can see here through this of o, there's a little left that gas station. right now police are searching for others who may have been inside. they still don't know what caused the exlosion, but don't think it's anything suspicious. to arlington now where a man is facing charges for sexually assaulting a woman inside a restaurant freezer. this morning police are looking for more possible victim. what we know about the suspect. 25-year-old santos.t he woman told police he assaulted her inside a walk-in freezer last saturday night. allegedly it happened as a restaurant on clairton boulevard. police arrested santos when he came bae next day. he's worked add several restaurants in the county and want to know if something like this happened before. tomorrow is the grand reopening of the international spy museum l atnfant plaza.
