search for possible motives and a suspect. let's g the latest from news 4 pat collins live at the scene in green belt. >> reporter: leon, this is l ke a plot from a movie murder mystery. i mean, the victim married to two men at the same time. one husband an actor in ghana. the other husband a big-time drug kingpin doing some heavy time in jail. there's a lot to look at here. it came down real fast friday afternoon. the murder scene, a parking lot of an office building near greenbelt. the victim 44-year-old betty jennife she worked in that building over there. it was around 5:00. she left her office. she left the building. she was walking down the steps. she s that gunman. she started to runaway.

murdered her in september of 2017. an update on a traffic ha headache for drivers in northerv irginia. part of the george washington parkway still closed because of a sink hole. closed from route 123 to the beltway. the weather and other factors are delaying repairs and officials say the lanes will stay closed at least through tomorrow morning's rush hour. the sink hole opened up on friday and the lanes have been closed since then. tributes are pouring in for legendary actress and singer doris dy. she died today at her gnome california. >> day is known for her roles in "calamity jayne" and "pillow talk". >> doris day was known as a bubbly actress, singer, and animal rightn. champ she was born doris van capelbaum in cincinnati in 1924. ♪ she sang with theading big bands of her era and changed her

less than two minutes. s > the measles outbreak spreading according to new numbers from the cdc. there are now 8 cases in 23 states, including maryland. that's an increase of 75 cases from the week before. most of the cases are in new york and involve unvaccinated members of the orthodox jewish community. they call it the worst measles outbreak in the quarter century. it is con tatagious and can livn the air for two hours after an infected person passes through. a d.c. authoraccuse ds d of publicly shaming met tro employee on the morning commute. >> she tweeted a photo complaining about a metro employee who was in uniform and eating on the train. it reads, quote, i thought we were not allowed to eat on the train. this is unacceptable, end quote. metro thanked the author for holding the worker accountable,

today governor larry hogan signed a law that will raise t legal age to buy tobacco in maryland from 18 to 21. >> news 4 darcy spencer explains critics are upset that one group is going to be exempted. >> teen vaping has been declared an epidemic by the food and drug administration. today maryland became the 13th state in the country to limit the sal of vaping products and tobacco. governor larry hoganigned a

bill into law aimed at reducing cancer and preventing young people from getting hooked on tobacco and vaping. right now you only have to be 18 to buy theseroducts. critics say that's too young. >> increasing the minimum age for purchasing tobacco products tolu 21 and ing vaping in the definition of tobacco products. >> the american cancer society which pushed for the legislation says if kids don't start vaping smoking in their teen years, they'll be less likely to do it when they're 21. the group also said it's disappointed that members of the military are exempted from the law. recent numbers released by the cdc show about 4.9 million middle and high schoo students were currently using some type of tobacco product in 2018. that's up from 3.6 million in 2017. the increase is driven by a surge in e-cigarette use. the new law won't take effect until octother. t gives sellers of these products time to adapt to the
