road near 198. bw parkway is a really good choice this morning because it's looking pretty good here all things considered. we have more n fromwschannel 4. brad, how have you seen things develop? >> reporter: it's going to be a tough cleanup here. we've got one tractor-tratoer off inhe trees and another that basically was completely burned down to the frame. so it's going to take a while to clean ts up. let's take another look at the crash as we got over this thoenchlthis morning. basically the two karcars were fused. they're working on the cleanup d of the secotractor-trailer. the best bet is bw parkway or route 1 as your the to get through laurel. this is going to take a while to clear out. already four-mile delay and counting headed toward the icc on 495. back to you. >> thank you. taking a look here, another major issue for folks this inrning. if you're com for like the greenbelt area trying to go around the beltway and up 95, i this not your morning. allow a lot of extra time and

's 6:05. four men accused of attacking a police officer had their charges reduced when they wentefore a judge in the district. this all started with a physicaa confrtion that was caught on camera. happened at the apartments on w street in southeast tuesday. an officer c slapped al phone out of a man's hands and pushed

him. witnesses recorded some of what happened. the police unionid officers were there investigating complaints about criminal activity. >> there's a line that you cross when you walk within an inch of an officer's face and put your finger in his face and walk behind officers that are armed. >> t cops, they touched it off by coming up aggressive. >> according to court documents, someone intentionallyd bumpen officer, acting like they were going to take a swing at him. court cords also say that one woman slapped an officer on the arm. new calls for tansparency after a white montgomery county police officer was caught on camera using the "n" word while interacting a group of black men. the four were stopped outside of a mcdonald's in white oak thursday. the officer used the slur, allegedly repeating what one of the men said to her. nine montgomry county council members signed a letter demanding that police release the body cam foot angel and - answerfootage and answer questions. the police would not comment only saying that the department is working on a response

we have breaking news right now. missouri is now the latest state to take efforts to change abortion laws. >> its republican-led senate passed a bill to ban the procedure after eight weeks of pregnancy. >> reporter: the heartbeat bill, if d's passe by the house, it will be signeinto law. it allows exceptions in cases of medical emergencies, not rape or incest. that vote comes after alabama's governor signed a bill into law banning nearly all abortions and making a felony for a doctor to perform or attempt an abortion. the louse could mean the supreme court -- theaws could mean that the supreme court will take it up again. d.c. has one of the least restrictive laws in the country while virginia is the most restrictive in our area. in maryland, women havepr tected access to abortion. if the patient is a minor, a

first 4 traffic alert, northbound 95 in laurel. take a look. down. still shu kind of bleeding some folks throught tave been there since 3:00 a.m. this morning. this is northbound 95 at 198. chopper 4 showing us the massive delays there right now. as we take a look at a p, you can kind of see some of the slowdown here. i'm highlighting the icc for you. if you want to do that, bo northd and southbound, bw parkway not looking as good as it was a short time ago. we have more from brad up in chopper 4. how are you seeing things change out there? reporter: they're doing a pretty good job of clearing that out. it is going to take some more time. they have the disabilitied tractor-trailer -- disabled tractor-trailer they're trying to load with cranes.th are still directed traffic off on to the icc exit. and they're bumper-to-bumper delays. what's contributing to that is all the drivers that were stuck like you were saying for about thrrs in the center of the roadway, in the main lanes. now 29 and route 1 are viable tions to getrough burtonsville and laurel to get to the main lanes of 95.
