e gentleman in the middle and the woman on the right were the two suspects who appeared. prosecutors tell us a little bit about what they believe happened when this trio lured ms. diaz riverdale.ods in joel escobar beat her with the bat and the other male suspect attacked her with a machete. prosecutors also tell us that cynthia hernandez was the one who told police that t murder had happened. investigators told us yesterday this was all done to keep diaz quiet. group had committed a crime on d.c. in april 17th. fearful diaz would tell the police, they murdered her the following day. we spoke with a family member. they had spent a month searching for her ultimately not knowing that she was already dd. as for the third suspect in this case, he is expected to be i

urt sometime next week. after speaking with the prosecutor, they said it is likely they will also wantmbe l. we hope to get our hand on some charging documents, but we will have more of that at 5:00 and 6:00. for now we are live outside the prince george's county courthouse. back to you. >> thank you, cory. we now know what caused eye crash that tied traffic in knots on the beltway this morning. something fell off a tractor trailer that made the driver behind the car lose control. that plowed through the jersey wall and ended up in the path of oncoming traffic, then hit several oth cars. one of those cars caught fire. two women ended up in the hospital. this all unfolded on th belt ray near river road in bethesda. total of six vehicles involved in that crash. take a look at th crazy scene. this is "u" street this morning. a broken water main unleashed a

geyser during the morning commute. it broke around 6:30. the water crews managed to fix it quickly and get the road repaired. there are new and disturbing allegaons of sexual assault happening over a period of decades at the hands of a former team doctor at ohio state r.iversity. investigators say richard strauss sexually abused more than 100 male students between '90s.te '70s and late he died in 2005. ohio state hired a law firm to investigate the claims and just released the findings today. the report also concluded school officials knew about the claims but did nothing. the school president today said it's clear there was, quote, consistent institutionalre fai back here some local students are reacting to that new controversy over the s.a.t.e t so-calledo adversity sc
