tonight because of the strong storms threatening parts of our rion. storm team 4 meteorologist samarrae theodor joins us. >> a thunderstorm warning has been issued for areas throughout our area. if you live in pink, it's fair game for mother nature and you're under a severe thunderstorm watch. washington county, frederick, berkeley, clark, all under that severe thunderstorm watch until 9:00 p.m. hail andeavy rain, damaging winds, things we've already seen, and we could see for the areas shaded in pink, but right now bigger picture shows we've been quiet and unscathed in the washington, d.c. metro area. headed farther north, this is a track we're tracking in washington county. an area where they have seen

copious amounts of rain today, golf-ball sized hail, and this storm is continuing to move northeast at 40 miles per hour, so it will be crossing that pennsylvania-maryland border just north of hagerstown. we're in for a long ride. especially for our friends north and west of the district.u i will give more timing and details on this storm as well as a look at your monday. we could be talking more rain again. erika. >> all right. thank you. meanwhile, police are searching for the driver of an suv that may have caused a bike rider to crash in montgomery county. that cyclist is now in critical condition. her friends say she was riding with a group on river road near old river road in poolsville yesterday morning. that's when they say a driver started honking the horn, swerving towards riders. the woman slammed on her brakes, lost control and crashed. the driver of the suv never stopped. the victim has several injuries including a fractured skull and pelvis. officers are investigating this

incident as a hit and run. a waldorf man is dead after being hit while walking along crane highway prince george's county. 26-year-old adrianne harris was walking in the median along crane highway near rosariville road just before 5:00 ts rning when a driver hit him. that driver thought he had hit a deer and instead of calling police called onstar. more than half an hour later state troopers responded to a call about harrison's body in e median. they say neither the driver nor theother person in the car were impaired. we have new details tonight on a deadlyhooting that we brought you as breaking news last night at 11:00. d.c. police identified the victim today as jonathan hernandez. officers found hernan az and second man shot on t street in northeast. tly in front of mckinley high school and langley elementary school. the second man shot, we are told, he'll survive. police say three to four men
