as she was riding in poolsville. witnesses say an aggressive driver hatssed her righff the road. darcy spencer is live with details on this unbelievable crash. darcy. >> reporter: well, pat, that's right. the woman crashed her bike right here on the sulder area of river road. if you take a look up here, you can see this is very rural. it is very remote. it is popular with bike riders also. there is a lot of vehicle traffic here. her friends are convinced this was road rage incident. today police told us they are trying to identify the driver.a ntgomery county woman crashed her bike here on river road in poolsville. her fellow riders say they were being harassed byn aggressive driver who made her lose control of her bike. >> i think it's the hardest thing i've ever seen as a rider. >> reporter: police are investigating the crash and trying to identify the driver of the silver suv who may have

caused her to fall, but they say they need the public's help. >> we're hoping somebody hasso footage where it shows the driver driving away,could be a tag number, maybe some more information, anybody who witnessed the actual crash. >> herfriends sayhe driver was blasting his horn and swerving close to them as they rode near the shoulder in single file just before noon saturday. in maryland you are required to stay at least 3 feet away from cyclists as you pass. >> once we evaluate it, we have to look at traffic offenses or if there was any purposeful intention of that person to ommit harm against somebody. assault.n we would have to look at that as. . right now we still have to gather all the fact. >> friends say the victim is an avid cyclist, wife and mom. she's now in the hospital with multiple broken bones and a head injury. they're urging bike riders and motorists to share the road. >> i've passed situations in which it's gotten scary, but nothing near to this.

a curious fire inside a third ar floor apent. a few hours before that fire a man was shot and seriously wounded the hallway of the third floor of that building. coincidence or something else? a frighteningscene here on park road northwest. a plume of dark smoke rising into the sky from a third story apartment. about 60 firefighters called to the scene. a woman inside. she's safe. it happened at the tivoli buil ng. the firealarm in the building wasn't working. the management said it had been disabled. investigators have described the cause of the fire as

undetermined. eric hill, he lives in the building. >> sunday morningn whe the fire happened, there was an explosion. we don't have gas in the building. we have all electric. >> reporter: the fire went off about 7:30 yesteay morning. 1:30a.m., six hours before the fire, a man found shot and wounded discovered in the third floor hallway of t building. weeks ago the victim of the shooting had been barred from the building by management. back now to resident eric hill. he says there's been a lot of violence in this building and he says he's been the victim of some of it. >> i've been robed at gunpoint and inside the building by people who do not live in the building. i've been assaulted.

sherree burruss joins us live from redskins park with the latest othnlinegu was keexpecte big impact for the team this season. don't tell us he's gone. h>> we don't know is gone yet, but the redskins thought that ruben foster was going to play a big role. they stuck their necks out to bring him on to the team after he was released from his former team after a run-in with police. they faced major backlash because of it, but they thought he was worth it. fast forward to today. his very first practice with the burgundy and gold. within just minutes i heard a scream. we saw a guy down t onhe field grabbing at his left knee. that's when we saw trainers tending to ruben foster. this is just the third play of practice, at it was during portion that we aren't allowed to shoot, so here is the video of the rmath, foster clearly in pain, crying, slamming his fist into the ground. makes it harder to digest, foster hurt on a play where there wasn't even contact. he just ran, stepped on another

some rib tips and break this down into st. louis style ribs. you usuay have 12 bones. we're going to square this on and make it even r thisht here, we cannot penetrate this thick membrane. i'll cut this flap off, too, for even cooking so this is a small membrane. you can use akn butter ife at home. i don't recommend using a sharp knife. >> things you should be ripping of before you throw it is the grill. >> yes.s thero membranes. you want to get the one in between. that way you can get all of that seasoning and penetrate that. a lot of us who keetcompen the barbecue city circuit, we coat iwith a rub of mustard. >> mustard kansa city style? >> yes, where we compete. d then add vinegar in the

in the center part of the country.ar you can see clouds around us. also lots of sunshine. we have current temperatures of 90 degrees. we did officially hit 9 today. winds out of the west at 17. we have some higher gusts too. it's a very warm day out there r sure. yesterday was very warm and very humid. look at 91 degrees. annapolis 90. baltimore around easton. they dropped tohe 70s as a result of showers.activitie it was this shower that came on through parts of the fredericksburg area. now you can see just a couple. you can actually see this line. you make a line right on down throughleesburg, gaithersburg. this line is going to be making its way off to the east. i expect to see a few more showers and thunderstorms develop in and around this area. right now they're close to gaithersburg. they're very close to leesburg, right around the ashburn area. this whole line, this is all the line that i'm i talking abo making its way down to the south and east. heads up montgomery county,

heads up loudoun county. nothing severe, nothing too strong. heavy downpours and maybe a little lightning. the strongest storm i right here in towards st. mary's count. looks like it's continuing to strengthen. this is in st. mary county. heads up crossingver into calvert county over the next hour or two. all with a line that's coming through. ront that's ld going to move through that's going to change things big time for tomorrow. the big storm is what's happening out west.y, bothis is huge. you're talking 5 to 10 inches of snow, yeah, around the denver area. then you've got the tornado outbreak today. notice the tornado warnings already here. we have numerous tornado warnings already. we already have confirmed tornadoes. there are storm chasers all over this region. this is one area that we just d not want to see anybody hurt. ned e really very conc about this in the meteorological community, how strong the dynamics are for this type of storm system. we'll be talking more about this

now at 4:30, storm team 4 is tracking storm chances. >> dougy standing b with what we can expect for the rest of he night. doug, how bad is it going to get? >> not too bad. we do have a heavy shower, heavy thunderstorm down around st. mary's county. i am not expecting anything severe. however, i am tracking this line right re. it goes through loudoun county and montgomery county as well. this will make its way on down to d.c. ovxt the ne one to two hours and i do expect there to be a couple storms. another storm in through st. mary's county moving into calvert county, but i want to show you what's happening right here aroundaithersburg and leesburg. this is making its way down to the south and east. some shoer activit but that's about it. i do expect to see a little bit moree up over the next few hours. this is what's happening over in parts of oklahoma. this is around the oklahoma cith areae right now they are under a tornado warning, one of the strongest worded tornado warnings they have ever used.

wispread severe weather. we're talking about long track in texas and oklahoma. we've had one co.firmed tornad they're using language such as particularly dangerous situation. here in our area when we declare weather alert day, that means the storm prediction center has issued just a slight risk for severe weather. we had a slight risk over the weekend. we did have some really strong storms with heavy rainfall and gusty winds, but that teat is so much higher, much more significant. we're talking about the potential for ef-5 deadly tornadoes in parts of texas and oklahoma as well as humongous h sizeil and strong damaging winds. a really serious situation this afternoon and evening in texas and the national weather service only using language this strong, this severe describing e potential for this tornado outbreak once in their history. >> wow. that's amazing. >> sures. thanks a amelia. >> thank you. a special surprise today for
