a bus strike averted just days before metro's summer shutdown. today the union that represents alexandria's dash employees says a tentative agreement has been reached. starting saturday, all six blue an yellow line stations south of reagan airport were going to au closed becse they have three months of platform work. free shuttle buses will be provided with those running every five minutes during rush hour and parking will alsofrbe at all of the stations that have lots. stations that are going to be closed. other option, take the vre train or the wateri, tax which is going to be offering extra trips between old town and the wharf. that's a nice way to go to work in the summer. >> i like the boat option. hey, it's a law aimed at un getting g out of the hands of high risk people who could do harm to themselves or to others. in marynd this so-called red flag law is already paying dividends. hundreds of guns have been

way through the area. we're tracking numerous showers. most of us will remain on the dry side. you kind of see this line moving through the area. we've seen a couple of showers lovelop. they're right a i-95. see this line right here? that's actually a line coming through d.c. and fairfax where a shower could pop up at any time. this is one of the newer showers. this is coming in towards clege park. it will move right over college park, right along 29. right around the jution there. about to hit ikea right there. down to the south, we're watching some shower activity down around st. mary's county. southern calvert county parts of the northern neck. nothing strong or severe, but just some downpours. all part of the system moving on through. it's fairly weak developing system. the big deal is what's happening back to the west and i mean big deal. this is what is going to be a potentially historic tornado outbreak day. we've had numerous tornadoes on the ground already. there are storm chasers

carolina in a home, not in a ta hospi and no birth certificate was ever issued. so when he actually was renewing his licenr eight yeaago, the d.c. bmv accepted his army discharge papers as one form of i.d., but new rules are now in place that waor't wng. d.c. has to transition into the real i.d. credentials meaning the documents customers have to provide. we did homework and found out he could use an i.d. card he had from the d.a. because it shows his birth name and birth we sent him off to the dmv with the information, and guess what? success. mr. burch's daughter told us, quote, that they were trying to giveim a hard time at first, of once he presented a cop the email you sent, the situation quickly changed to a positive one. my father was so thankful have received your help.
