call for police. he holds onto the hood of a cab iphone fearing for his life. >> right now, i feel blessed t be here. had i lost my life, i could have been injured worse than i am. >> reporters it started thuy afternoon. he was driving h nissan near georgetown. d.c. police say he stopped at a red light and a cab driver rear-ended him. >> a minor accident turned into the wildest thing i could ever imagine. >> reporter: derrick got out of his car to exchange insurance n. informatio >> as soon as i approached the car he put it in reverse and o tried tleave. >> reporter: police say the driver accelerated knocking eric onhe hood and drove several blocks. eric eventually fell off, hurt his leg and accidentally dropped his cell phone in the cab. good samaritans helped him call 911. >>olice were able to stop him. >> reporter: officers stopped the cab driver a few blocks away and police found eric is a phone
