hernandezas found bleeding in the parking lot and was taken to the hospital where he later died. green did stay on the scene amter the shooting. the victim's fy is hoping to raise money with a gofundme page to send hernandez's body back to el salvador for burial. it could be a tough commute to the office today. it's the first time many will experience the metro s shutdown. the blue and yellowlines at all six stations south of reagan national are now closed for repairs. while many believe the repairs are necessary, pple who live near one of the now-closed stations say that there could be another way to get them done. >> the whole reason i moved here to thisripartment complex t here in alexandria is because it s right next to the metro. don't understand why they can't do one station at a time. >> commuters will decide this morning whether to try out the shut buses that are free at six of the closed stations. he closures are part of the larger platform improvement

tornado warnings on the system t. you can definitely tell, thunder and lightning to the west of winchester. on the current track that it's going, it should be arriving in the d.c. metro area between 7:00 and -- between 6:00 and 7:00 in the morning. it will get to i-81 sooner than that. raindrops here not too far outside of the city of sinchester to the west. keep all thi in minds. here's future weather then. and again, these computer models don't always paint the most accurate looking picture. but know that where you see the green and the blobs, there could be thunder and lightning s'more brief periods o heavy rain. coming through during the morning commute today, i think the peak time for heavier rain, thunder and lightning here in the washington area comes at about 6:30 in the morning and about 9:00 or 9:30. here's future weather. 9:00 a.m., bam, as everyone's t tryingo get to work or school. high impact because of the iming more than anything else. that all movesout, and then we get back to sunshine this afternoon. later on in the day there could be an isolated storm chance.
