where the shooting happened. justin, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, at this time the onscene investigation has wrapped up where the man was shot. police are looking into what led to theatal shooting. this happened overnight, close to midnight the call came in. the 2600 block of bernie place t in southeas the scene. police got a call of a man shot could they took him to the pi hosal. despite officers to save his life, high it die from his indeuries. has iification has not been released. no word from police at this time what may haveed up to the shooting. on the same day just hours up the street at the berry farm rec center, another shooting. this time five victims, one boy and four men. this is off the 1200 block of sum her read. halice not showerled up to

when d.c. police arrived, they found him and got him to the hospital. despite the best efforts, he died of his injuries. no identification on the man or information about how that shooting may have begun in the first place. to another scene, this was hours before. juup the street from that burney place shooting. this is a shooting near the berry farm rec center off sumner road. five people were shot.r f men and one boy. their injuries said to be non-life-threatening at this time. police looking into that case, too. as we come out live, they are looking for a silver or gray nissan saidan seen leaving -- sedan seen leaving the scene after the shooting. they're thinking it could be related. police have not said if the shooting is in any way linked to the burney place shooting. e'll bring you detai as we get them on air and our nbc washington app. live here in northwest, justin
