that's what they are. sprinkles. a lot of sunshine here. more clouds, cloud deck coming our way. clouds continue to fill in as we go through the middle part of the morning and the afternoon. ow, as we head to the afternoon, weather alert. that temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. we have temperatures moving into the mid-80s for daytime highs today. what to expect, isolated t sprinkle o before noon. anything we see before that, not that big of a deal. we'll have waves of rain coming through. not just one particular line that will move through. you may get some rain, have sme dry time, another area of rain will move through and some dry time. ando that's what we're dealing with this afternoon. we'll talk more about that that. want to tell you about our tontinuing coverage oft devastating workplace shooting in virginia beach. we are continuing to focus in this morning. >> right now, authorities are still trying to figure out why a long time city worker opened fire in a shooting ramge on

friday. this morning, four people remain hospitalized after the attack. three in critical .condition in all, 13 died including the shooter. 24 hours after the shooting, the fbi was still collecting evidence. >> as investigators, they review everything they can review. onceat saul put together, in a documented investigative file, it all will be reviewed and ne determiwhat led up to this incident. >> the gunman's relatives posted a note on saturday, offering condolences to the victims. >> we're learning more about some of the victims killed here. one of them christopr rapp was the former stafford county director of public works and in a statement, county leaders praised his kindness e w neskin. we learned more about his life including his hobby of plang in the tidewater pipes and drums. his friends say he joined that vind after mo from stafford

county and they tell us that rapp looked forward to playing in the band. >> walking into band practice, weandng his work clothes changing in the bathroom, ready to start playing with the rest of us, blowing pipes and beating drums. >> rapp's ban says they will play at his funeral. a memorial service wilatake pl wednesday at the government center in stafford. now a closer look at what we know about the shooter. he's been identified as dewayne craddock. officials say his pass gave him acce s to all floors and fired at random. it is still a mystery what may have set him off. he was stl actively employed on friday, but city officials declined to speak on whether his job was in jeopardyif he had been disciplined. police say he used 45 caliber handns and semi-automatics. at least one of the gun was fitted with a silencer. police are interviewing

craddock's co-workers and searching through his emails, work space and home looking for clues as to why he did this. stay with news 4 as this story continues to develop. keep up to date on our nbc washington app. now turning our attention to decision 20. maryland governor larry hogan making it official he will not take on present trump for the gop nomination. he said he'll focus on his second term as governor. w thhington post first reporting on his intention not to run, hogan released a statement yesterday thanng whoef everyone who did want him to run. hogan told the associated press earlier this year that while he has seriou concerns about mr. trump's leadership, he has no interest in a, quote, kamikaze mission. now to another high school, under construction, in prince

william county. it is being built to meet the needs of continuing growth there. >> bristow, near t jiffy lube live. but the redistricting plan comes omth a lot of folks protesting. >> especially frne high school community in particular. northern virginia bureau chief julie carrie has more. >> reporter: the ceremonial roundbreaking for prin william county's 13th high school, the construction already well under way in the bristow area. new schools mean new high school attendance boundaries. as usual, an emotional issue. >> we don't want to into one community against another. >> reporter: that is charles nco from stone wall. stone wall is one of three schools impacted by the redistricting plan with battlefield and patriot high school. many in the stonewall community are speaking out about had they see as an unfair redistricting oposal. under the proposal, the percentage of students with vamited english from economically disadaged

backgrounds and from minority groups would jump. dre other two schools, a op. many in the stonewall community argue diversity should be shared. >> i believe and 50 years o studies have shown when we have greater diversity in a school system, it is the rising tide that lifts all ships.in what we're dowith the plans currently in place is we're kind of going against the tide. >> reporter: melissa neil, her youngest son set to graduate ext week. but she still is fighting r the school and for a different redistricting plan that would allow more high schools to benefit from a diverse student population. >> itllould be a win-win for a populations, not just economically disadvantaged. >> reporter: the school bod will hear from the public one more time in early june and then the vote on the redistricting wsan is set for june 19th. julie carrie, ne. >> the new high school will open in the fall of 2021. this month is lgbtq pride month.

products, has been a busy week in washington as usually is the case. >> always is. joining us to break it all down is moderator of "meet the press," chuck todd. chuck, it seems like every week we're talking about this, the impeachment proceedings, possibly impeaching the president. but this week democrats have been accelerating their calls to impeach the president after robert mueller, you know, came forward with statements this week. whatatre the democrhe did baiting? >> i think debating the it.sequences of either decision looks political. nancy pelosi said this. e's right. and yet it is also wrong at the same time. she said, they can't impeach for political reasons and can't nota i for political reasons except they're having a debate about politics. it is what it is. if they're having a debate about whether this is a rise to the level of -- this violation of the rule of law, if they're deb deba debating because he's not serious about russian interference, if they can turn the debate into that, it is a
