people's lives were los it's just -- >> this morning, the motive remains a mystery. and new this morning, an update to a story we first told you about yesterday here on news4. police have arrested rain dellinger. he is the murder suspect howard county officials are searching for. he was found in north carolina yesterda he's charged with killing a man in ellicott city saturday night. authorities say mowr, dellinger, and a friend were in a parked car behind a building using drugs. they believe dellinger fired one shot that hit mower and ran. he died at the scene. howard county police are working with north carolina authorities to bring dellinger back to maryland. the search is on for a missing teen from gaithersburg. she's 13 years old. police say she left her home on country cross court friday and hasn't been seen or heard from since. she was last seen wearing a black jacket and red and green

christmas-themed pajama pants. her family is concerned for her welfare. if you see her or know anything about where she might be, you're asked to call police. we're a following breaking news right now in the district. fire sparked inside a home in northeast. news4's amy cho joins us with details. what's going on? >> reporter: yeah, a very scary situation here. as you can see, still a huge amount of firefighters here trying to put out the house fire. this is what's going on at lawrence and 22nd street in northeast. firefighters say when they got here, they s f they hadnd a man standing outside the house who had just escaped.an d he told firefighter there was still w aan -- firefighters there was still a woman trapped inside. marefighters had to go and rescue that wo she was attached on the second floor -- she was trapped on the second floor. she's inic very crit condition. firefighters tell me they are still actively working to put the fire out.

home last wednesday. an infant and toddler were also found inside the home unhvmed. intigators are calling the deaths homicides. only on news4, we now know a possible motive in the case of n mharged with killing his neighbor in the district. sources say the suspect believed his neighbor tried to kidnap his stepdaughter. last month, police arrested 28-year-old justin myrick for the death of angela blakeney. the body was found in the woods in april. a woman who lives in myrick's d.c. neighbor hood did not wa to go on camera but said she and her husband we on the porch when police made the arrest. she reacted to the latest news about the motive. >> sad both for the life that was bst, obviously,cause it's a sad thing to happen. and then sad for the man who committed the crime, as well, because now we have two lives lost. there's no good that comes of this. >> according to a police report, myrick's stepdaughter was walking her dog when blakeney allegedly grabbed her byha the

we're working -- we have learned that two local men were involved in a deadly suspected d crash in las vegas over the weekend. police posted this video to twitter sewing the crash. stanley butler jr. of d.c. was driving a rented vehicle when he lost control and crashed it into a parked toyota. the person inside that toyota died. police say butler showed signs ofmpairment and was arrested. lavon aburn brant of hills was the passenger in the mclaren. more than 100 police cars in baltimore have been pulled out of service a part of a sexual assault investigations. officials say 115 police cars were taken out of service after a woman told police she was sexually assaulted by a baltimore police officer. the woman was not able t provide a name but said the officer drove a white police car. the department isn't saying , muchut it released a statement saying as a result some department vehicles are being processed for potential
