him caught on surveillance tape. we can show you surveillance from the first two attacks, but this time the women screamra. they out of their house and a neighbor heard the commotion. he came and chased the suspect through this alley,own the street. police say he threw a brick at the neighbor who was chasing him, but the neighvr did not gie up, kept chasing him until police were able to a comend aid him and theyfinally captured him. >> we spoke with two women who didn't want to go on com ra. >> i didn' comply. i confronted him. my objective was to try to save my daughter hed get out of house. so believe me, at any time he could have hit me, shot we have -- you know, anything in the house,in my back as i was running out, of orter: police have now -yea

sexual assaultars we a ofasll tering into this third building. again, he was on supervised rease havgst jinen bue serving ten years foridnapping a woman in this very block. that's the very latest. back to you guys in the studio. mark, he's just been let out of prison on the supervised release in april. do f know i they use an ankle bracelet to monitor his wh> reabouts? >porter: you know, we've asked the federal agency that monitors prisoners thaveryuestnnd w ase asked rle mpd. we haven't gotten an answer yet. i can tell you that even if he did have a gps bracelet, the way those work is it doesn't really tell police where he is 24 hours time. police have been monitoring that bracelet and they don't monitor that on an ongoing basis. but police could go back to use as evidence in these cases to find out if he was in the location at the time that these two recent rapes happened.

has been loecated safely. they are interviewing her and trying to put the pieces together. here's what police were telling us. they say that alvarez who is 16 years old was found the 8100 block of 15th avenue and thlaey'rey sa ying that at le oe suspect got out of the vehicle, pulled her into the car and that person was wearing a mask, wearing all black, s a male, and then took off with alvarez in the vehicle. now, prince george's county police say that she had been missing from d.c. since may 20th and that they have been seeing her here in langley park for some time. actually one person told us they had seen her haning around apartment complex going in and out of the laundry room and then today this apparent kidnapping. prince george's county police also told us at around 6:00 this morning someone called police saying that they saw her and eppeared to be disoriented. when they cam to talk to hershey wasn't there and a few hours later they get a call she

dickerson. drew jones was found under thactor at the bottom of a steep bank. discovery started a search on the property when jones didn't show up for work this morning. searchers called in the y montgomeunty technical rescue team for help. unfortunately, when they got to him, they dscovered thathe had died from this injury. we are still working to find out exactly how all of this happened. we have some brand new information about the deaths of two people inside a prince george's county town home. police are w calling it asu murdeide. the couple was found dead inside a bedroom at the home on east bonniewood turn in clinton. they say 49-year-old gordon johnson shot 46-year-old annika brown before turning the gun on himself. earlier today news 4 spoke to an ex-girlfriend who had a child withhn joson. she said he had his faults, but that he also served his country. >> i want people to remember

virginia's governor ralph northam calli the general assembly back into session over gun control. the governor's decision comes as a response to the mass shooting in a virginia beach municipal building that left 12 dead. in a room filled with fellow democratic lawmakers, northam says he's going to try to revive out a half dozen gun safety measures that were killed in committees last session. they include universal background checks, a ban on assault weapons, suppressors of bump stocks and a return to a one gun a month purcha limit. >> i will be asking for votes, not thoughts and prayers. >> just ahead here on news 4 at 5:00, northern virginiajuchief lie carey has reaction from gop w lawmakerhose say they're

weekend morning. it was all caught on home security cameras and the family was at home. >> andohe thief tok his time inside that home. coming in and out of the house, lulihe electronics. news 4's jackie bensen went to the d.c. neighborhood where all this happened. >> reporter: take a good look at that burglar ose image was captured by various security cameras at a house on ellicott street northwest. it was just befored dawn s morning. the police report sayshe homeowner left a back door open because their kids were having a back yard camp out. the man wearing a baseball campt and sho can be seen bringing small electronic devices out of the house. he appears to be hecking them out before putting them in a backpack. at one point he plugs a charger into a phone. it's not clear if it'shis phone or one he stole. that struck people as a particularly bold move. >> that seems anwa odd to carry out that activity.

>> despite the a tount ofme he spent lingering, the n was able to leave the property without alerting the hoerm owom who only realized something happened when they noticed missing items. police want to hear from anyone else in the neighborhood who feels they may have been targete by this burglar. northwest, jackie bensen, news 4. more now on that ernight fire in northeast washington that took a mother's life. firefighters pull epahanna williams out of the second floor of her home on lord street in the brookland neighborhood, but ser died later from h injuries. news 4's aimee cho reports. >> reporter: this is epahannal wiams. her son describing her to news 4 as a loving mother and grandmother. one of her neighbors says heew knilliams for years and that he helped raiseim like a son. this morning williams' house caught fire.
