stronger srms later this afternoon. we're not under a humongous risk for severe weather but any s individualrms as you know this time of year could be a little on the strong side. the timing for most of the severeer weath chances run from 3:00 to 11:00 tonight. otherwise, outside of that it will be warm, breezy, humid today. now yesterday this yellow area, slight risk for severe weater included the d.c. metro area. today it does t. the severe risk does not look as high as it does yesterday. again, any indivi storms could be strong to severe. o here'sne thing that's working in our favor for not having bad weather. showers and a lot more cloud cover out across west virginia is coming our way. that might help to hold temperatures down today. that will limit any chances for severe weather. that would beod a go thing, indeed. right now mostly in the 50s and 60s. warm and breezy with afternoon highs in the low to mid 80s by later on. keep your umbrella handy.

owned by the same company. news 4's justin finch is live at the dominican republic embassy with more on the similarities between these cases. justin, good morning. >> reporter: eun, aaron, good morning. as you mentioned, there are some very concerning connections here. may 25th a pennsylvania tourist died. five days later that pnce george's county couple dies. all three of respiratory failure, officials say, and dyingat resorts just minutes apart. we have this from the brother. he pins this statement here recounting her final moments saying the doctor was with her when she suffered acute respiratory distress and collapsed. why wasn't there an

of cynthia day and nathaniel holmes are waiting for their loved one's remains so they can conduct an additional autopsy. justin finch, news 4. >> jutin, thank you. new details now -- >> new details this morning. we've learned the man shot by police in anne arundel county has died. chopper 4 flew over the scene on rook road. the man is identified as 56-year-old martin goodier from y. he was armed with a knife, threatened officend did not follow command. police shot him. he was taken to the hospital where he died tuesday. an autopsy is scheduled f today. we're learning more about the man accused of raping a 12-year-old montgomery county. news partne at wtop report that james booker was able to work a construction job at wheaton highschool despite his history of felony charges.

you're watching "news 4 today." there are new travel restrictions for people wanting to visit cuba. t themp administration announced a ban on many forms of recreational a even educational travel to the island. that means that cruise ships will no longer be stopping urhere. cu trips known as people-to-people travel, what most americans use to visit cuba, are also being stopped. the restrictions goff into et today although travelers who have purchased tickets and hotel stays should still be allowed to take their trips. on capitol hill republican senators are putting the pressure on president trump and his plans to put tariffs o mexican goods. >> this comes as u.s. and mexican negotiators are trying to meet. news 4's tracie potts is live on capitolill with the growing number of lawmakersoming out
