visited aal several other crowded public places. news 4's doreen gentzler joins us and says the department of health has retracedhat child's steps and released a timeline of potential exposure sites. >> there are three of them, wendy. new information just coming in from health offho confirm the child got measles after traveling outside the u.s. and then arrived back in our region already sick and infected. they can't say much more than of that because privacy concerns, but we do have a detailed timeline of places the child visited. this past sunday the child was in terminal "a" at dull lesswe bet 5 time 30 and 8:30. later that night the child went to the emergency room at the heymarket medical center and lee early th next morning. then on tuesday of this past week the child was in the waiting area and in the

emergency room at inov affair oaks hospital irf f on tuesday from 3:00 to 5:30. measles hily contagious and it spreads through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes. you can get it just byeing in a room where a person with measles has been, even up to two hours after the person has ft. this case symptoms could develop as late as june 25th. look for tngs like a high fever, cough, runny nose or a rash on the face and body. measles is easily preventable through a safeec and efftive mmr vaccine. if you've gotten the vaccine, you're protected, but if you haven't been vaccinat, you could be at risk. if you know the symptoms, health officials urge you to s ay home and stay away from others and oll ahead before you go to the doctor's officer the emergency room. and if you haven't been vaccinad, know that you're not protected and you're also

people in spotsylvania county. the medical kpexaminerrenoworts michael coleman died from a cut to the neck also. that was the cause of death for the other two victims. coleman's female partner and her 14-year-old son. all three deaths have been officially ruled homicide. a relativeo finding th bodies in a rural spotsylvania county home last month and still no arrest. opper 4 is over the scene of i -- on i-270. this is the procession for the fallen frederick county firefighter. as that procession passed under a bridge today, firefighters saluted. 60-year-old drew joenes wasn killed itractor crash on tuesday. a rescue crewnd fouis body in a steep ra revine. the man who shot and nearly kille alexandria police officer peter laboy is back in jail

facing a charge. he is accused of trying to set fire to the house and car of one of his caseworkers. police found weapons in a subsequent search of his home. bashir was found not guilty by reason of the shooting back in 2013, then released from a state mental institution earlier this year. he'd been living on his own in woodbridge. bashir will be back in court later this month facing weapons charges. at> investigators are trying to figure out whed to that crash during a training exercise one st point that killed cadet, injured more than a dozen others. we're told the cadets are all rising seniors. they were riding in a large truck on their w to a navigation training. at some point while traveling on an unpaid road, the uck flipped. west point has not identified the cadet who was killed. they say the others involved in the crash are all expected to survive. world leaders gathered with veterans today from the greatest generation in norman marking

showers, but it's the weekend that could be more of a washout. doug will be telling you about that in a few minutes. just a few minutes ago we learned significant progress is being made on immigration talks with mexico. the white house is trying to get mexico ho help shore mexico to help shore up the border and slow the pace of illegal immigration. president trump says a -- he'll i ime a tariff on all mexican imports to the u.s. leon harris is here with a closer look at how the tariff increase could impact your wallet. >> if the tariffs go into effect, u.s. consumers could pay for a wide variety of goods. avocados, the u.s. imports 85% of the supply. and companies like chipotle are warning their prices will go up if the tariffs go intt. effec the u.s. also pours lots of other fresh fruits and egetables from mexico,

reportt'n the coun history of race relations. the heritage commission began the study after residentsse expresconcern. there is a confederate memorial at the courthouse, but nothing that recognizes the struggles of rican-americans. the new report suggests naming the courthouse possibly after charles hamiltonhouston, a prominent black attorney from the 1930s. for 50 years "the washington blade" has been telling stories of the guy community and the push for equal rights. for most of that history one reporter has had a front row at at theevolution. as we celebrate pride week andbl the "ade's" 50 years as a beacon in the community, i sat down with him to see what thath tory looks like through his eyes. when ail fert field was tilled in the summer of 1969. as the stonewall riots exploded in new york, unleashing the rage of the guy community fed up with

the oppression, in a small ofice in d.c., "the washington blade" became one of the first ywspapers in the countr dedicated to the life and concerns of the lgbt community. it was in the mid fst of this surging civil rights movement that a young reporter would start writing. >> one of the issues that i was covering in my early years of the "blade" was the problem of guy people having their security clearancesed revok if it came out they were guy. >> he told their stories, but it was the coming plaguehat would decimate any safe cover this community had o relied and still the future of so many young men. he told their stories. >> the issue of discrimination s and bi and families disowning some of their loved ones when they find out that someone might be guy after the person learns they have a life threatening

sayin what may have happened. >> news 4 is the only local television station with a crew covering this story for you ine th dominican. alberto joins us now fromsanta do m domingo. >> reporter: there was a news conference today with the highest tourism official here in there dominican blic. he said the minister of tourism said that this island is safe, that tourists do not have to worry at this poi and that everyone has to wait for this investigation to be finished before anyone canmake a judgment. at this point let's listen to what he had to say to one of our questions today at the newsfe conce. he says that the truth is that this is sad that this unfortunately happened, that people die in hotels. these are situations that happen in life.

then he wanted to say that a what's import here is that every single event like this that take place needs to be investigated and that's what the minister is saying exactly is happening here in the dominican as a matter of fact, we're right outside of the agency, the office of the attorney general here in the dominican republic that is leading this investigation. just today they published some new information about the death of this couple from prince george's county. there was a long list of medical notes they confirmed that they both died from respiratory failure. they also spoke about the death of the woman in pennsylvania. diedre confirming that she from a heart attack, but there is a lot of new information here coming out of this building here inhe dominican republic. but mainly what the authorities here are saying, jim and wendy, is that this is a very safe island and that no one has to worry at thisin po

what he was just telling us is the woman from pennsylvania had a heart attack. itially that was respiratory and pulmonary edema, exactly the same as the couple. she had taken a drink from the mini bar according to her husband and then collapsed. >> instant. >> right. well now on to some breaking news here in the district. d.cwater tells us a body was found at a treatment facility today. news 4 shomari stone just got to the scene? south best d.c. what have you learned? >> reporter: ad.c. water spokesperson tells us that this body was found beneat the ground in the infiltration system. that was around 12:54 today. that is when police arrived here on t scene and they immediately launched their investigation. at this point of the investigation,hey are waiting for an autopsy report from the medical examiner's office befor tproceed. they will look at the body to see if there are any signs of blunt force trauma, stab wounds, bullet wounds.ls

robocalls, you don't have to do anything. your phone carrier no was j given the green tl to automatically block them from your phone. initially the fcc today also ma allowed or carriers to create new tools giving you the ability to actually block calls from anyone who's not in your contacts. but today's ruling mayk not those spoofed calls.n that's whe call appears to be from a number that you're not familiar with and now the fcc is asking for public input on another rule it'ser consng that would require phone companies to authenticate calls to make sure that they are really coming from the number that pops up on your caller.d. now, to the calls none of us want to get. debt collectors. 20 u.s. senators are nra ing concerns about new rules proposed by the consumer finance protection bureau. th new rules would allow debt collectors to call you up to seven times a week for each debt
