player player was accused of raping a student. >> reporter: we did speak with dodt. 's been a long two years for him with this accusation. he said hanging over his head. he believes it has impacted h professional career. he was playing overseas in mexico and then poland. now he is in between contracts. he is hoping that since this case has been resolved that he can probably move on with his professional career, buta jury did decide that he was not guilty on all charges. he was looking at four charges associated with an alleged rape that happened back in 2015 near the univeity of maryland campus. according to the prosecutors, dodd was accused of helping to r get a g drunk in a bar and then taking that young woman back to a nearby apartment building off campusap and rg her. what was revealed in court by the alleged victim was that she had taken a lot of shots before

getting to that bar and continued to drink once at the r, actually snorted some cocain before spotting dodd and according to the defense attorney she was okay with makingout with dodd but wanted stop before sex. and the defens attorney was saying that was not the case. that, in fact, this was consensual sex. hear now from dodd. >> it's been rough. i just tried to keep a positive outlook on things. keep god first always. at's always been what i've done. >> reporter: now i only took the jury about two hours to come back with their decision. at the end of the day, again, dodd found not guilty on all charges. we are still waiting to hear from the prince george's county state's attorney's office on this case. reporting lve from upper marlboro, i'm tracee wilkins, back to you in the studio. >> thank you, tracee. > let's go to some more breaking news. actor cuba gooding jr. arrested

in new york city. >> thhe breaking in t last few minutes. the 51-year-old oscar winner is accused of groping a woman in midtown in a bar or the weekend. oding's attorney told the associated press the video from the bar will prove he is isn't. gooding met with investigators in new york today. the actor won an a academyward back in 1997 for his role in "jerry maguire". now to some breaking news from montgomery county where a worker has died at the solid waste transfer station in derwood. the work was trap under a large pile of brush including tree stumps and yard debris. rescuers were able to locate him when theyeard his two-way radio, but it was too late. authorities say the worker died there at the scene. a d.c. police officer is charged withsex abuse. he is accused of sexually ng assaultihe victim monday during a therapeutic treatment. he has een withe d.c. police

scandal. they came forward with claims of sexual abuse t dating back 2000 and 2004. both women have said they would be willing to testify publicly before the virginia legislature. fairfax has said this is not a legislative issue and maintains the encounters were consensual. from the live desk, i'm erika gonzalez. the white house is fighting back after a federal watchdog agency called for kellyanne conway to be removed from office. saying conway violated the hatch act. it begans government employees from engaging in political activities. it found that the president's senior adviser advocated for and against political candidates during her tv appearances and on social media. conway toldto reporters day she has no reaction. a white house spokesperson called the agency's recommendation, quote, deeply flawed. of course this is a diffent season, but a fight

we're back with a live look at storm team 4 radar. showers all over and somara tracking the strong storms in just a bit. her hour by hour forecast in just two minutes. in the meantime, police in montgomery county are searching r four people after a smash and grab that turned deadly. police say a group of burglars drove a car through the front of awe gun shop as they tried to make their escape in a second vehicle. an officer fired their gue one prson died. the rest of the burglars bailut nd ran away. news 4's chris gordon has the

latest. this stolen suv that thieves use to crash the front of the unitm gun shop was pulled fro the store and towed away. police released this picture showing it inside next to a wall. guns. >> we are working on the assumption that is a high possibility they mayed be arm >> a police officer responding to anke alarm bl the parking lot entrance, the thieves riding in a second stolen vehicle crashed into the police cruiser. the officer fired. you can see the damage to the rear of the police cruiser. was hieves' stolen vehicle so damage today broke down j t a few blocks away on randolph road. one of the suspects was found dead inside. it is not known if he decide from eightu ghot woun d or from the crash. the other suspects ran interest a neighborhood. police found this bag andns thr guitch. >> to hear guns were found four houses down from me in their

immediately. back to you. >>important information. thank you, susan. trt let's get to some impoan i somara is here. your radar has been popping for the last couple hours. >> it's really starting to brew now. we had that sun come out. we got the energy we need in place and far west is where we're startseg to see tho storm goes severe. let's get straight to it. we are seeing some severe thunderstorms farther north and west of the district. as far as the d.c. metro area is concerned, i'm thinking we could see an isolated storm or two pop in the next coming hours, but i'll dissect that in just a moment. for now i want to take you north and west up into washington county and hagerstown area. you see that line of showers a storms. they're going to continue to push through hagerstown probably clipping the northern part of hrederick county. this severe tderstorm brings with it 60 mile per hour wind gust, lightning andlinding rain in the deep red there. it's getting ready to pick up. that's until 4:30 p.m. we head south in to leesburg, this one becoming more healthy.

isolated shower probably going to turn into a storm pretty soon here and that's going to continue t move into montgomery county to the northeast. i'll keep an eye on that one. not severe just heavy rain. then we head farther south. northern fauquier down towards culpeper where we're seeing lots of lighrsing. showeand storms on the periphery are going to stick with us for at least the next two to three hours. 5:00 p.m., notice as that cold front pushes this line of showers and storms through the d.c. metro area, not very healthy line of storms here, so i anticipate that any storms that do pop, they could go rong to severe,but not everyone will see this. this is not a widespread event. we do have a new severe thunderstorm warning. frederick until 5:00. probably that northern part of frederick i was just talking about. that same storm that is impacting washingtonocounty.

fairfax. i am tracking severe weather to the north with rotation.s that doeave me concerned. we're going to keep an eye on that one. let's get to the radar. this is the line of storms just ead of the cold front bringing with it that punch of severe thunderstorms warnings. the first warning we have north of frederick unty, that one's until 5:00 p.m. very heavy rain there. if we head a little bit farther south, this severe thunderstorm warning until 5 ti:30 as well. we are seeing hail and winds gusting up to 60 miles per hour. farther south, just outside of the district,own in manassas, very heavy rain. but because of those winds reaching about 60 miles per hous that h prompted the national weather service to take us into severe thunderstorm mode until 5 ti 5:30. this is going to make cansay into fairfax at 5:17. oakton at 5:23. right there it's going to start to make its way to northwestern
