even a bit of lightning. here's what the deal is now. oking at our radar east of 95 is dry. washington, d.c., you're in the he ar for the rest of evening. it's safe. we move out towards anne arundel county, still seeing some showers along450 there. farther south, severe thunderstorm warning until 6:45 p.m. in couthernlvert county. seeing some very heavy rain. they might have expired that warning in fact because things are improving. htnsecutive degrees rigow in the district. we got really cool after that rain moved through. 73 in culpeper right now. with the sun coming back out, we were able to see a little bit of jump in the numbers, but we're going to cool things back down as the sun sets. looking at the rain outlook, we are dry for friday and saturday, but sunday, nday, tuesday, that chance for scattered showers and storms just makes a back. what is the best day to do what around town? if you're headed to brunch, lunch, dinner, saturday is going to be the optimal day. plenty of sunshine out there. very comfortable.

the best day to go swimming is going to be monday. it will be so warm by around -- between noon and 4:00. the only thing is we do have that threat for showers and storms, so as soon as you hear that thunder roar, head indoors. as far as the yard work goes, i'd probably say tomorrota very comfore tomorrow with temperatures in the 70s. storm team 4 10-day outlook. we're going to mak jump in the numbers. 78 tomorrow. 90 by sunday. and then we t do have quiet weather. it's going to be a little breezy tomorrow as well because we have this cold front move through and on the back end wat get th nice breeze. that should calm by saturday. then sunday and monday that rain chance does return in the afternoon. guess what? it's going to return all the way through next week. this is crazy. look at these icons. really and truly, this our summertime pattern as expected. we're going to see that threat for showers and storms from sunday all the way through next week. and we're going to keep a close
