hospital yesterday. in the rrested earlier day after running from the scene of a traffic stop and then tossing a gun into a sidewalk trh can. call police if you know where this man might be. also developing, the new is post is reporting there an investigation underway into whether counterfeit liquor may have played a role in deaths that resorts in the dominican republic. at least seven american tourists have diedt withi last year while vacationing there. a forensic science expert tells the "post" that the symptoms among the dead were consistent with poisoning from methanol or pesticides. two othe most recent deaths involved a local couple, nathaniel holmes and cynthia day. four armed suspects are still on th loose after they robbed a gun store in rockville. it began around 2:00 a.m. on thursday when they crashed an suv into the g united shop and

stole several guns. the suspects used a secondol st vehicle to ram into a responding montgomery county police officer. the officer fired onsp suts and one was found dead in the car. the other four were able to drive a few blocks before their car broke d the man ran off into the neighborhood and ditched several guns behind a house during the getaway. >> everybody in the neighborhood sees anything or backlight comes on with your shed, don't check it out and call us and we'll check it out >> police are trying to determine whether this crime is connected to a similar gun shop burglaryminutes away in fulton, maryland, in that case as many as 2guns were stolen. police need help finding a a who sexually assaulted woman in crystal city. he followeder intod building ornering her in an elevator. megan mcgrath is live at

arlington police headquarters th the surveillance video they hope to catch the suspect. good morning, megan. >> reporter: good morning, pat.i was a bold assault. it happened in the morning when many people were headed to work and downtownrystal city. take a look at the video. this is the man wanted in connection with this sexual assd lt. you coule him walking through the corridor there. it is a good image of the person that they are looking for. now this sexual assault happened yesterday morning just after 8:30. theictim had just left the crystal city metro station and was walking through e underground pedestrian systems that connect to other buildings is in the area. she went to a building on jefferson davis highway and police say that the suspect followed her as she mader heway ultimate timately cornering her in an opel vator and assaulted her. >> he didcorner her and grabbed her and physically assaulted her as well asex slly assaulted her and at all times the door to

the elevator were open and when other individuals enterede area the suspect fled and the victim could seek assistance. >> it is seeming odd i can't be safe coming or going home to work and especially 8:30 in the morning and the sun is bright and everybody is moving around. >> reporter: so the suspect did run away. he fled on foot. has not been fnd at this point. the hope here is that there were a lot of people in the area, a little after 8:30 in the morng and the hope is that somebody saw him and recognized him in this surveillance vnd gives a call to investigators. back to you. >> thank you, megan mcgrath. a former university of maryland basketball player is looking forward to continuing ro his pssional career after a jury acquitted him of rape charges. demonti dodd was accused of raping a woman back in 2017. his accuser admitted she was drunk before meeting dodd at a bar and leaving that bar with him. dodd said they had consensual

sex but prosecutors say she was too impaired to give consent. news4 spokeo dodd after the verdict and he told us the accusations have hurt his career. >> you look up my name and it is the accusations and they always ask what is going on with that. e it is always been rough. >> the princorge's county state's attorney said sexual assault cases are the most challenging but her office will continue to seek justice on ehalf of all victims. d.c. police are investigating one of their own this morning. 42-year-old officer pierce then is accused of sexual assaulting a woman during a therapeutic treatment. the alleged incident happened on monday at rocha spa on 16ee str northwest in the mt. pleasant neighborhood. he was an off-duty officer and then off duty and with theorce r seven years. his police powers have been revoked. he's been assigned duties where he has no contact with the

it isertainly crisp out there with temperatures in the 70s. some areas are in the 60s still. and plus that breeze out ther so it is making it feel rather cool. but we'll be beautiful and breezy out there today. winds are going to be out of the northwest with the humidity so gusts up to about 30 miles per hour. as we go through the day today. now tomorrow lighter winds, making a mix of sun and clouds but still dry and warmer morrow, mid-80s. by the time we get into sunday, looking all right for the pool. especially the first half the day.bu you keep an eye on it for the second half of the day and could have showers an thunderstorms. we'll time that out coming up. but right now the temperatures are in the 60s. quantico andnd culpeper fredericksburg at 70. we'll take that into the mid to up 70s today. but still crisp out there theough the day baz of breezy northwest wind. gusting up to about 30 miles per hour. so 78 will be the high today re in d.c. it is just a pleasant day out there. very delightful weather out there as well. nothing to complain about in
