this afternoon on woodfield road, a van plowed righthrough front door of the bp station. fire officials say the driver and another pedestrian were nj iured. the van was removed and fire officials tell us that the damage to the bupeding aps to be just cosmetic. here in the district, an suv wound up smashing through a railing this morning. also taki down a tree andut ility pole that may have had a speedn camera o it. this is along wisconsin avenue in upper northwest washington. we're told two people bailed out ngter the vehicle wound up in the parki lot of a cvs. police did close off part of the roadway while they cleared away all the debris. current acting defense secretary has withdrawn his name from consideration for the job permanently. only took a matter of minutes for the president to find a replacement. sources telling nbc news that patrick shanahan m with president trump this morning

some republicans are calling for a hearing to look into the sexual assault allegations against the lieutenant governor and they want to use this upcoming special legislative session that will be held onn gus to double as a chance for a bipartisan hearing. two women accuse justin fairx of assault. he has denied any wrongdoing. last week the lieutenant governor told news 4 he opposed aearing but heid say that he asked his attorneys to reach out to the prosecutor's offices in two states and ask them to look in to the allegations, a move that he said would clear his name. now you embattled d.c. council member jack evans fending himself once again today. it comes as a new report found multiple ethics violations. evans who is also the chair of the metro board is facing allegations of using his politalal position for person gain. but as mark segraves reports, evans continues to denny deny

almost 50 years since mankind first set foot on the i moon and honor of the anniversary next month the aerospace museum will be putting neil armstrong's spacesuit on display. aimeeho gives us a sneak peek.
