night, a man hit by a police stun gun a number of times. that man cuffed and charged byt me cops with assault on a police officer, charged with struction of justice, charged with the resisting arrest. he spent two days in jail and today his lawyer says it all went away, all the charges ropped against the 29-year-old mr. musunza. his mom talked aboutat happened to her son. >> when you saw the video of your son in that subway, what went through your heart? >> i was outraged. i was in shock. i could not believe the way they were wrestling him. it was so close to the railroad track, i was afraid that he was going to roll over into the track. >> reporter: today i talked to

shemeer jones who was the woman who took the video. >> the man wanted to talk to the police officers, let me explain what's going on and the other ficers as you see in the video, comes running from my right-hand side and pushes the g tleman, there was no aggression or fist thrown by that man. he didn't use any type of vulgar language or anything. where in that video do you seea th he attacked that officer? >> reporter: apparently this all started when cops were called to the metro station to investigate a report of kids that were lighting off fireworks, but apparently they focused on the wrong kids and mr. musonza tri to intervene and de-escalate the situation. according to a police report obtained by news 4, police on the scene say mr. musonza was g interferith their investigation, that they attempted to push him away, that he said go ahead and toys ase me and then took a combative stance.th say they fired the taser twice but they say none of the

so much. meanwhe here at home, police in montgomery county say they don't want any part of the trump administration's roundup of undocumend immigrants. the department tweeting over the weekend that, quote, it will not participate with i.c.e.rd regag any immigration enforcement efforts next week or at an other time, unquote. the president tweeted that he postponed the roundups for a week to give democrats time to l reach a de about border secur wy. >> well,e are counting down to the first democratic debate. it happens this week and south bend mayor pete buttigieg took a few days off the campaign trail to manage his first major test. a white police officer shot and killed a black man on father' day and that officer's body mera was turned off. the shooting h sparked protests in a town hall in which south bend residents vented their anger at the mayor. still he says heo intends t be at that debate. >> i am planning to participate in the debate. i will also obviously continue to serve of this community to the best of my ability.

a cyurtroom surprise to at the hearing for the man who is accused in the death of a good samaritan. >> this woman who was allegedly under attack says her rescuer

never should have tried to help her. >> news 4's megan fite jerald was in that arlington courtroom. >> reporter: for the first time we're hearing from the girlfriend of michael nash. in october of 2018 nash's girlfriend says they were walking along the 1300 block of south george mason drive in a arlington around 9:00 at night near these food trucks. she says the two of them were arguingtnash was yelling a her and moments later she says he started beating her and taking off her clothes before touching her sexually. on the witness stand the girlfriend said she was screaming. that's when patricio salazar, a good samaritan tried to help her. the woman described to the court has nash started bashing salazar's head into the ground and beating him repeatedly. salazar later died from his injuries, but in a shocking admission nash's girlfriend says she doesn't see salazar as a hero and that he should never have intervened. the court also heard from bradley flood.

there. we've seen some of the roadways here, i-95 south looks terrible with traffic. 301 also going to be a mess and here's the d.c. metro area. look what's coming. more showers in fairfax and this right along 66 in towards the area. probably down in the next 20 minutes to half an hour and wayne around wood river bridge and clinton, maryland, waldorf, you can expect the rain for the next hour or so on the light to moderate side so once again if you're thinking about heading out for dinner, just take the umbrella with you. you'll need it. the storm system itself is wl ack to the well. you can see numerous severe thunderstorm warnings and watches, the watches are in the pink and the warnis in the yellow here. this would be moving across our region and going to get here too late and begin to die off. if it does so, behind it , tomorrowe get rather warm across the region. high temperature of 88 and 87, weually hit 88 there, 90 gaithersburg and dulles and 91 in trucks pittsburgh and we expect 90s area-wide tomorrow.
