people are expected to protest at congressional offices across the country today. they are calling for the closure of migrant detention centersng cos newly released photos from the inspector general show the extent of overcrowding. senior managers at several facilities have raised security concerns. arlington county police say a deadly shooting inside aag penton city parking garage monday was an act of self defense. n who was shot and killed was trying to steal another man's cell phone inside of a garage on army navy drive. they say the victim fought back and during the struggle the gun went off and h the spect. he died at the hospital. embattled d.c. council member jack evans faced hours of tough questions from the council. he is now fighng toeep his position as chairman of the finance committee. yesterday he addressed his colleagues regarding a metro ethics investigation but he re used to answer sev questions unrelated to that investigation. next week, the council will decide his fate. the legal battles to get president trump's tax returns is heating up. the house ways and means

committee is now suing the d treasuartment and the irs. the lawsuit alleges the administration defied a tcongressional subpoenahand over six years of trump's financial records. the president maintains he cannot release his documents because he is under an irs audit. this morning, baseball fans continue to mourn the sudden death of los angeles angels itcher tyler skaggs. he was found dead in a hotel room in texas on monday. c theause of his death remains d. undetermin officials say there is no evidence to suggest foul play or suicide. last night an emoonal tribute for skaggs. the angels held a moment of melence before their to remember their late teammate. it's the first time the team has played since skaggs's death. >> the game itself can be a refuge for players, where they can turn their minds off and just focus oal baseb and i don't know that sitting in a hotel room would do th any

good. >> tyler skaggs was married just seven months ago. officials say it could take up to 90 days to receive a full autopsy results. skaggs was 27 years old. it's 4:37.x fairfaounty police are investigating two shootings that injured three men. they believe the shootings are connected. police werealled to the 6400 block ofgr teph road just after 4:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon. there they found e man shot. minutes later police received another call for a shooting in the 2700 block of james drive. there they found two men shot. all three are expected to be okay. neighbors say they're on edge. >> this is interesting. i mean, i've been cing here for three years, so i've never a really seenthing like this. >> scary. you don't think of that in this area. >> fairfax county police are looking for thi black mitsubishi captured on security camera as it drove away. police are also trying to determine wheter the shootings are gang related. two teens are recovering after a shooting at a

playground. erey were shot just aft11 monday night on fordson court i fairunty. police believe the attack may have been gang related. we're told the teenager is already outof the hospital. they both are and they are both expected to recover. the american civil liberties union are calling for an investigattn at the s gun at a metro station last month. they want them to open an investigation into the police force including its policies and practices and use of force training. the group condemns the ficers encount we are a bystander who dwas avocating for a teenager who had been detained by metro police. we reached out to metro for a response to the aclu's call for an invtigation but we have not heard back. and check this out the burgundy and gold decked out for some rock a roll. chopper 4 flew over fedex field yesterday and found it set up for tonight's rolling stones concert. look at that.rt the conce had to be

starting to lower throughout the day, but not until then. we have a little fog out there this morning as you,ake up some cloud cover as well. so again, watch the visibility as you make your way out the door. it's going to be damp when u ke your way out the door, but even down towards culpepper, route 28, 29 we're looking at low visibilities down through central virginia. it's another hot day today. more rounds of storms expected. and again, these chances of rain are going to stay a little on the high side as we continue over the next several days. yesterday we only had about 30% chance but all those storms took advantage of all the heat and humidity, the instability that we had out there and then just flourished. temperatures out there right now we're already in the 60s and 70s. you know it's going to be a warm day as temperatures ard in the mi0s in some spots. head back to the low to mid 90s to today. we'll see the heat inde around 100 degrees once again. mainly dry as we go through the first part of the day, but by this afternoon, i would say any time aft 2, 3:00 p.m., that's when we'll start to see the storms blossom once again and' they continue into the late

evening. now, we could get clipped with a few light showers just to the west of us.e here are som showers moving into we a lot of that moisture you can see these are weakening as they enter that west virginia line right there, so a lot of these will continue to weaken as they cross over the mountains. not to say in the shenandoah valley you could see a showeror two. we're dry as we continue through the afternoon. but 2, 3:00 p.m. that's when we start to see these storms bubble up and again damaging winds, heavy rain, lots of lightning, that's going to be really what we're watching as we get into the afternoon and evening. that's why we're weather alert. i know we have a lot of things. going on we have a nats game and fireworks after the nats game and rolling stones at fedex ld fie i do believe those things in the evening could be in jeopardy. fourth of july planner could be in jeopardy as well. scattered showers and thunderstorms once again tomorrow into the late evening and could pack a punch with damaging winds and also some really, really heavy downpours,

housing set aside for senior residents. family shelter will also include an outdoor play area, a computer room and an office space fors ial services. there is a new student program at one prince georges county middle school. tuesday a new achievement center opened at green belt middle school. a $50,000 grant made it possibra. the progm called higher achievement is one in d.c. anda ia and pairs students with community ntors. the green belt program started a week ago and will go through the end of this month. it will pick back up in the fall. just important to have adult role models in kid's lives. you don't realize what an impact it can have. er for sure. glad it's th still ahead at 5:00, reports on the terrible conditions for migrants held at the border sparked protests across the country. including in our area, but as protesters shout down immigration officials, the crisis worsens at the border. and he became the face of chrysler when he saved the company. now more than 30 years later,
