more than 30 fire fighters from four different apartments are on the scene until about 3:00 in the morning. a neighbor called 911 a few minutes after 11:00. they tell me yates was kind lady always willing to help. they are devastated they couldn't help her last night. >> it is very sad. i didn't sleep last night because i lost three children in 1962 to a house fire. and i knew what this -- that she didn't make it out. >> reporter: arson or foul place is not expected in this case. the fire department's tape is still up and they are still investigating the cause of this fire tonight. in gretna, valerie bragg, abc 13 news. the virginia office of the chief medical examiner says five of six people killed in an apparent murder-suicide in chesapeake died of gunshot wounds. four died from gunshot wounds

gunman cameron dooley died of a gunshot wound to his chest. dooley's death was ruled a homicide -- suicide and the other were suicide. he killed his parents, siblings and another relative. a local reality star has been convicted of possessing a sawed-off shotgun. steven tickle from "moon shinersteven tickle from "moon shiners" was convicted in court help in arrested tickle during a routine traffic stop on 29 last july. tickle will be sentenced in march. that wind kept is very cool today even though we saw temperatures in the 40s and sunshine this afternoon, it probably felt a lot colder to you due to that expected wind. right now we are looking live over liberty and lynchburg, and you can see that snow is continuing to melt away. we will see some refreezing tonight, because we are going to have a freeze by 11 p.m., most of us will be in the upper 20s, and temperatures will be off to a cold start for your

facebook facehas a feature that we some good news for those looking to buy house. mortgage rates are dropping. the 30-year mortgage rate has fallen to 3.79% and the rate on the 15-year fixed mortgage now stands at 3.7%. experts say the steady drop in rates show the federal reserve is not the sole determ ant of mortgage rates. facebook is ready to start broadcasting live video on its iphone app. it is now on for everyone in the u.s. with facebook's app on the phone -- iphone that is. the live video option is out after two months of testing. it will enable facebook users to share live video of their adventures and other mundane activities with friends and family, yay. apple is recalling power adapters because they can cause an electric shock. it was designed for use in couldn't nebt meantal europe, argentine into and brazil. they were shipped with macs and other apple devices and also included in the apple world travel adapter kit. in a statement, apple said in very rare cases, the adapters may break and create a risk of electrical shock if touched. apple will exchange the faulty plugs for free and refund customers who doubt new plugs over that issue. the battle of the mind.
