count on. this is abc 13 news. thank you for joining us for 13 news midday. i'm noreen turyn. we begin with disturbing news out of rocky mount where police are trying to find out what led to the death of a newborn baby found in a dumpster late last night. annie anderson is digging into this for us and joins us live near where the baby was found. >> reporter: the baby was found here in one of the dumpsters at the blackwater in rocky mount. the police department got a call tuesday evening saying a woman had come in showing signs of just having a baby.police say that woman, 24-year-old catherine, denied having a baby.

they found clues that lead them to believe the baby may have been put in one of these dumpsters. they searched them and found the body of a newborn baby. the baby appeared to be in its third trimester. police don't know if the baby was stillborn or died in a dumpster, but are hopeful they will know soon. >> we are expecting to get results pretty quickly. it is something we want to resolve quickly.>> reporter: depending on what the medical examiner finds, the mother could be charged with them properly disposing of the body or much worse. live in rocky mount, annie anderson. now to the latest information on the killing of 13-year-old nicole lovell. natalie keepers has hired an attorney. the commonwealth attorney said tomorrow. we have also learned a neighbor said nicole told friends she was going to sneak out to meet her boyfriend david, an

>> reporter: unable to complete her statement tuesday. 13-year-old nicole lovell was last seen january 26. her parents a sheep put the dresser up against her bedroom door before climbing out of her window. police say she was killed the next day. her body discovered on saturday about 80 miles south of her blacksburg home. police say the 13-year-old was active on social media with multiple facebook and instagram accounts.nicole also an active user on instant messaging app kik. that is where police believe she met 18-year-old david ivan eisenhower, a freshman at virginia tech. >> i still have goals for myself. there are people better than

i will personally not stop until i reach my peak performance. >> reporter: eisenhower, a former high school track star, now facing charges for premeditated murder. court documents charging his accomplice, natalie keepers, began planning the murder in early january. new charges for her, accessory before the fact first-degree murder. >> noreen: she is not charged with first-degree murder. friends and family will begin to say goodbye. visitation is 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at mccoy funeral home in blacksburg. the funeral is tomorrow at 3:00 at the funeral home. the reward has increased a second time as police search for suspects and monday nights shooting of the danville doctor and his neighbor. an anonymous donor has brought the payout up to $20,000. police say someone shot doctor randolph neal while he was walking home from work and then shot neal's neighbor after he
