to the murder of nicole lovell. our newsroom here has been busy tracking down the very latest in this case for you, and here is what we know tonight. keepers and in court in christiansburg today. her parents there were too, holding hands as they listens to the details of this case. annie andersen was also in that court room and annie, we have new disturbing details about this murder. >> reporter: danner, the information presented by commonwealth attorney mary pettitte had so many of the details that police have been tight lipped with until now. pettitte said at 6 a.m. on january 27, tammy weeks called 911 when she saw 13-year-old nicole lovell wasn't at home. blacksburg police called the fbi who started tracing nicole's digital footprint. the fbi found messages between lovell and david eisenhauer when things really took a turn. eisenhauer told police he met up with lovell early in the morning on the 27th, but said he didn't kidnap her. natalie coopers took the stand at today's hearing and didn't

instead the commonwealth attorney read a summary of the statement she gave to police. in that statement, keepers said she and eisenhauer plotted and planned the best way to kill lovell and that slashing her throat would be the best way. keepers told police the day before lovell was kidnapped, she and eisenhauer went to a cookout in blacksburg. then they drove through lovell's apartment complex. after that, keepers said they went to a wal-mart in christianswent to a wal-mart in christiansburg to buy a shovel to dispose of the body. the commonwealth attorney said that was caught on camera. from there, keepers said that she and eisenhauer went to craig creek road in montgomery county to find a place for eisenhauer to kill lovell but keepers said murder. she did waive her miranda rights telling police she helped load lovell's body into eisenhauer's lexus. police say that the body was still in the car when they went into the wal-mart to buy cleaning supplies. from there the pair went to surrey county, north carolina

i will be live at 5:30 with more details on this. live in blacksburg, annie andersen, abc 13 news. >> danner: so many details coming out in court. annie outlined the few places of interest in this case. let's take a closer look at those for you. take a look at the map. investigators say eisenhauer picked nicole lovell up at her home on fairfax road in blacksburg wednesday night. then natalie keepers told police that she and eisenhauer drove down craigs creek road plotting the murder and later putting lovell's body in the trunk. finally, investigators found lovell's remains in surrey county, north carolina. right now nicole lovell's family is laying the teenager to rest. her funeral started just a couple of hours ago, and our katie brooke is live in blacksburg outside the funeral home with what we know new tonight. >> reporter: danner, hundreds of cars have been filing in here all afternoon as so many came to pay their last respects to the 13-year-old. the family asked that media not

respect, we stayed away that afternoon. the funeral wrapped up not long ago and the processional headed you off to the grave site, this is what we know new tonight. i have been told that full funeral expenses have been covered and i have been delving into that. i am told that the commonwealth county attorney's office may have helped through the witness program. a memorial fund has been set up for nicole at the national bank of blacksburg. i am told the police department had a hand in setting that up in nicole's memory. donations for expenses and any leftover funds will start a scholarship fund in nicole's name. if you want to give, give at any international bank of blacksburg location or an address on our web site at wset.com. danner. >> danner: thank you, katie. and next at 5:30, a special report. nicole's mother says that her daughter was bullied both online and at school. so we are going to look at what parents can do to make sure their kids don't become a victim

a tv movie. a mom and pta board member trusted by many to handle the organization's funds pocketed $3organization's funds pocketed $31,000 according to police. jennifer musik reportedly turned herself in this morning and arrested by police. the president of paul monroe elementary school's pta cristi hooper said she would never have guessed she was stealing from the organization. she said she struck her as friendly and extremely helpful. not until the start of the school year when certain things weren't adding up, dues weren't being paid when fellow pta members decided to go to the bank. >> it wasn't until we went to the bank and got statements out from the bank accounts that we realized that -- that it was gone. and so -- >>reporter: police say she took the money over a three-year period as treasurer. the pta uses that money for

events for students. hooper says members of the community are angry and upset wondering how this could have happened, but she says the incident has actually made the pta stronger, and they have adopted new bylaws to help prevent this from ever happening again. live in lynchburg, priscilla kaiser, abc 13 news. >> danner: we will have more from lynchburg city schools on this case tonight on abc 13 news at 7:00. police are busy sorting through tips tonight searching for clues that could lead them to the person who shot a danville doctor and his neighbordanville doctor and his neighbor. so far, no arrests after monday's shooting. now danville regional medical center is addressing the violence. valerie bragg is live in danville with the story. valerie? >> reporter: danner, several drmc employees are feeling uneasy walking to and from work, because dr. randolph neal was walking home from work when he was shot. the hospital's ceo allen larson says the incident has prompted him to increase security at the

and in the overtime hours. in the six months lawrenceson has been in that position, he said he has seen more than 25 gunshots and stab wounds come through the emergency room and enough is enough. he says it is time he addresses the crime and help build what he hopes to be a crime-free city. >> we are also working with the police. we will have some -- some experts come and give lectures and talk about how to be safe and the community will be invited and will be making that aware, employees and all. it is important. and our world is changing. and we need to be educated to the change. >> reporter: drnc is organizing a prayer and a neighborhood walk tomorrow night at 6:00. they want to encourage neighbors to get back outside and not be afraid to walk and be healthy. coming up at 6:00, i talked to neighbors who live in the area to see how this shooting has impacted them. danner? >> danner: thank you, valerie. getting kids moving. inside a new initiative to

we look at a new movement to legislation that will require virginia public school students to get 20 minutes of physical education each day advanced. the house had preliminary approval but many criticized saying it was an unfair imposition the state was putting on teachers and local school districts. the bill's sponsor responded that inmates in prison are given an hour a day for physical activity. the senate has already approved
