back. no one has been charge here. we go to the danville humane society to see how the dog is doing. breaking tonight, our abc 13 13 crew just got back from the scene of a car that crashed into a building in madison heights. you can see all the damage here. this is at elliott's cleaners. right now we don't know what caused the driver to crash into the building, but we know this is the second time the car has crashed into the store. last one happened a couple of years ago. according to the director of public safety in amherst, the lady who is in the inside usually works up front but went in the back to get clothes when this crash happened. talk about luck. nobody was killed or hurt. one much nicole lovell's friends said she warned the 13-year-old about david eisehauer months before her

it is something you will see only on abc 13 news. annie andersen sat down with nicole's friends to learn more about the months before her murder. >> reporter: natasha was nicole lovell's best friend. what happened to lovell is exactly what she was afraid of and something she warned lovell about months ago. >> we would always run down the hallway from gym, giving each other piggy back rides. >> reporter: one natasha bryant favorite memori of her friend nicole lovell, now more than a week after lovell's murder. bryant can't believe it is one her last memories of her classmates. >> i can't believe she is not breathing right now. not living because she was such a free spirit. >> reporter: bryant had a feeling that lovell could be headed for trouble when she started talking with older boys online. >> when she was with one she got very, very, very, like -- she was really out there with them. >> reporter: bryant first heard about david eisenhauer the

kidnapping and killing lovell back in october. >> she told me she had been talking to a few guys named david but one she was really, really into. >> reporter: when she learned eisenhauer's age, she got really worryworried. >> i told her it was not safe and she shouldn't be talking to older guys that she might get hurt really, really bad. >> reporter: do you wish you had done more? >> i don't think anyone could have stopped it. i really don't. people wonder, and i have been telling her is all you can do. you can't physically stop her from talking to him. >> reporter: now just before christmas, lovell's father david found out lovell was chatting on line with older men and grounded her. he said he also took her cell phone away, although she did end up getting it back. danner. >> danner: thank you, annie.

just little things like that. very devastating for the family. >> reporter: beskin said after the fight she took a 12-year-old with her to buy lighter fluid and burned down lanier's home. put lanier's body on the kitchen floor. they found b esk in in north carolina and extradited her to danville where she confessed. >> we are very glad that she is stepping up to take some responsibility for this. >> reporter: an autopsy revealed lanier died from sharp injuries to her head. b eskin said the killing was not in self-defense. she faces a maximum of 50 years in prison when she is sentenced in march. live this danville, tola adamsonlive this danville, tola adamson, abc 13 news. we know the cause of a house fire gretna that killed an elderly woman. it started in the kitchen. specifically in the area by the microwave. the fire spread to the attic. happened two weeks ago in henry street.

a painstaking process when it comes to jury selection. taking much longer than prosecutors had expected to find 12 jurors and two alternates to will decide 31-year-old ashley white's face. defense attorney kelsey bulger objected to many people today. she originally moved to a change of venue alleging that all the media coverage of noah and white would bias any jury pool, and indeed most of the potential jurors have admitted they had read or seen some type of media coverage on the case. some of the jurors said they had personal connection to white and her family. one said that his daughter played basketball with noah and that had the stoic-faced white into tears. two other potential jurors knew little noah personally. assistant attorney said he wants to make sure the defense is happy with jury selection as well because they don't want to give the defense reason to appeal should white be convicted of her charges. now there is still a chance a judge could move -- a judge

but win left the court room, they had chosen 24 jurors. of that the defense and prosecutor also then be able to have what they call discretionary strikes and far in throw down to those 14 insures i have mentioned. white has entered a plea of not guilty to the free child abuse and neglect charges. for now live in pulaski county, suri crowe, abc 13 news. abc 13 is on the scene of an accident on hooper road in forest today. witnesses tell us that that car veered off the road and on to the road before crossing a lane of traffic and hitting a tree here. paramedics said the woman was alert and awake when they arrived on the scene. a witness tells us that the driver's legs were pinned against a steering wheel. crews got her out and took her to the hospital. tonight we are getting our first in-person look at the pit bull recuperating at the danville humane society after being stabbed in dog is playful and not letting her wounds bring her down.

as you can see the vet had to shave some of her fur and stitch her back up. the director of the humane society paula dean said the dog loves people and full of energy. someone stabbed the dog on friday and right now no tips on who may have done it. >> we see horrifying scenes and we are not shocked by this, we are horrified but not shocked. >> danner: there is a $1,000 reward for information on this case. the dog will be up for adoption after her wound heals. treating depression usually requires antidepressants, but now some top doctors say there could be another way. colder weather is on the way, and coming up, we will let you know when you can see the coldest weather of the week. you know, why just happy to be home. >> danner: an abc 13 news
