icy highways have made driving dangerous. at last check -- 3 fatal crashes had been reported. officials also tell us 2 troopers and a firefighter were hit at crash scenes.. and sent to the hospital. as of last night.. troopers had responded to a total of 97 traffic crashes and 14 disabled vehicles across the state. in the appomattox divison.. there have been 7 crashes. and 4 crashes in the salem division. again - police are asking that if you do not have to be on the roads.. please stay put. 3pattie tight this morning a henry county deputy is listed in serious condition after crashing his cruiser while responding to a call over the weekend. according to the sheriff's office, just after midnight on saturday.. z.b. smith was responding to a call about a man threatening to jump off a bridge on greensboro road, but smith ran off the road as he was heading there. smith was airlifted to roanoke memorial hospital. officials say they found the man a little later and took him in for a mental evaluation. 3whit box and this morning we're learning new information

roanoke. roanoke police have identified the man hit late friday night as 59 year old david lee burnley of roanoke county. they say he's recovering at roanoke memorial hospital. police say burnley got hit by a vehicle on orange avenue just after 8 p.m. so far, no one has been charged. 3pattie four months after its removal from the oklahomo capitol grounds... controversy still surrounds the 10 commandments monument.whit and now several bills are being introduced this session.. aimed at bringing it back. kristen shanahan reports. 3--pkg--it was a heated battle led by the american civil liberties union.the fight to remove the 10 commandments monument from capitol grounds. "what's different about the 10 commandments monument isn't that it just acknowledges religion, like some symbols at the capitol, but that it actually commands a reader in exactly how to worship," brady henderson, acluthe aclu argued that the monument's placement violated oklahoma's constitution.last summer the

-- and the monument was removed."what is problematic with that opinion is it became very bad legal precedent for our state," rep. jordansection 5 of article 2 says use of public money or property cannot be used for sectarian or religious purposes.some lawmakers are pushing to get rid of that section -- and want the people to decide. hall on wset.com called "your voice, your future: millennials and politics". wsyx out of columbus, ohio is hosting this one. the town hall is set to tackle issues like.. which presidential candidate can best solve the challenges young people face today it'll be streamed live on our website from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. 3pattie tight a man in williamsburg celebrated an icy president's day by saluting his collection of president's heads in his backyard..sot-- hankins "i've got a vision for these guys. something that will attract the kids and get them to learn some history." pattie howard hankins has 43 sculptures of president heads. they weigh about 800-thousand pounds each. hankins said he was hired to crush the sculptures after a theme park in williamsburg closed, but he says he couldn't do it. so he decided to take them to his concrete recycling business. now -- he hopes to find the presidents a new home where they will be appreciated. 3whit the lincoln memorial
