10:45 a.m. on saturday, a call came in from a man saying he'd been shot in the leg and was in route to the memorial hospital of martinsville. we're told that man was treated and released. now, deputies say 38-year-old jason lewis white is charged with attempted malicious wounding and firearms charges. he's in the henry county jail without bail. invetstigators are still looking for this man.. 38-year- old danny eugene henley. he's charged with malicious wounding and other gun related charges as well. if you have any information, contact the henry county sheriff's office. 3 3 pattie this morning, residents of kalamazoo county, michigan are trying to come to grips with the shooting spree that left 6 people dead and 2 others wounded. authorities say a man randomly opened fire at three locations on saturday. this is one of the scenes -- near a cracker barrel restaurant. the other locations were a car dealership and a townhome community.(undersheriff paul matyas/kalamazoo county sheriff's office) "we have multiple people dead. in summary, what it looks like is we have somebody driving finding people and shooting them dead in their tracks."

civil suit. the daily progess in charlottesville says a federal judge ordered the woman, identified only as "jackie," to submit to a deposition in the case on april 5th. the judge also set an october 11th trial date for the case.. which is expected to last two weeks. uva administrator nicole eramo sued rolling stone and the article's author for defamation, saying the article cast her as - quote "chief villain." the article said seven men raped jackie in a fraternity initiation. but the magazine retracted the piece after jackie's claims proved implausible. 3 pattie singer kesha's dealing with a pretty tough situation right now... she made an appearance in court on friday in her effort to be released from her contract with sony music. for some two years.. the pop star has been in a legal battle with her former producer... and unable to record new music. she claims "dr. luke" abused her physically and emotionally for more than a decade. he denies those claims, saying the singer is lying to destroy his reputation. fans of kesha showed support for the singer outside of the

3 3 mona tight state police say a multi-vehicle wreck in campbell county sent 4 adults and 1 child to the hospital - all with serious injuries. we now have video of the crash site sent in to us by viewer ashely hubbard. police say it happened on route 29 - just north of route 6-96 - around 3:40 p.m yesterday. an acura was traveling northbound when it slowed to make a left turn.. that's when police say the driver of a hyundai failed to

acura.. forcing it into the southbound lanes where the car was hit again by another car we're told the driver of the acura, plus the drivers and passengers of the other vehicles were taken to lynchburg general with serious injuries. the driver of barrett, is charged with reckless driving. 3 pattie this morning we are hearing from two lynchburg teens who found themselves stuck on a ski lift along with close to 100 others during a skiing competition in west virginia.mona it happened saturday morning at the timberline resort in caanan county. the incident left at least 9 people injured and 2 hospitalized. courtney wheaton spoke with those local teens for their firsthand account. 3 they can all laugh about it now, but saturday's close call was nothing to smile about. alex showalter "i was like oh my gosh..oh my gosh this actually happening." lynchburg teens jette davidson and alex showalter were just two of hundreds of skiiers

competing in the southern alpine racing championship-- until something went terribly wrong. sarah davidson, mom of jette "we had seen the chair lift that fallen to ground, we had seen the tower that fallen to the ground.. we had seen a safety bar that had broken off that was on the ground." one of the ski lifts malfunctioned leaving more than 100 skiiers stranded while others were forced to ground by the impact. alex showalter"some just got flung off lift and just him being flung off keeps playing over and over again in my head. luckily no one was seriously injured, but first responders tell abc news things could've been worse had the lift stalled further up the hill.. a scary thought for these teens.jette davidson "you thought while people were falling off one by one they could've hit a tree, broken a leg or something horrible could've happened." on the timberline resort facebook page.. officials say the cause of the malfunction is still under investigation and this is the first time something like this has happened in the resort's 30 year history. although the competition was cut short, all involved say

3 pattie tight3 beer, burgers and lots of pool. dozens flocked to rivermont avenue for the 25th annual cavalier cup! the caveliar restuarant holds the pool tournament every year from november until february. sunday marked the last day of the competition. each year the cav partners with the lynchburg humane society to raise money for the shelter. the humane society also brings in some of their animals in hope of an adoption. pattie tight at last check, the cavelier had raised 26-hundred dollars for the organization. 3 mona speaking of food... a new zaxby's is set to open today the franchise will be opening their second location in our area. this one will be in forest, next to first bank & trust and across from bank of the james. this morning there will be a ribbon cutting at 10:15 and then the restaurant will officially open their doors at 10:30.
