at this hour, state police have reopened part of route 130 following a two car crash in madison heights. thank you for joining us on 13 news midday. this is what the scene looked like around 9:45 this morning. police say the driver of this blue jeep crossed over the center line and hit a car going in the opposite direction. both lanes were temporary closed as police cleared the scenes. the driver was cited for reckless driving while two other people in the other car treated for minor injuries. the uber driver accused in a deadly shooting spree in michigan set to face a judge today. investigators will not say what set him off. we are hearing from the passengers he picked up in between hits. latest. >> reporter: six people dead. two others injured.

so far, no motive. according to police, the mayhem in michigan started shortly before 6:00 saturday evening in the residential complex. a woman was shot several times. she survived. about four hours later, the car dealership parking lot, father and son shot and killed. minutes later, outside the cracker barrel restaurant, five people shot, four died including retired teacher mary jo nigh. jason dalton taken into custody without incident. police are looking for reports. this man who asked to remain anonymous said he was one of dalton's customers during the rampage.>> i joked with him and said, you are not the shooter are you? he said, no. tired.

id law in federal court. the lawyers for the state democratic party will argue the law is unconstitutional. democrats filed a lawsuit last year challenging the 2013 law requiring voters to show photo identification at the polls. they claim it illegally depresses minority voting. more than 30 states have some sort of voter id requirement and lawsuits pending in several states. virginia lawmakers considering a bill that would penalize people who falsely claim to have service dogs. the bill hopes to restore the credibility to service animals. other states like maine, arizona, hawaii, and york, are considering similar bills. some lawmakers want to weed out the fakers by giving people with disabilities the option of obtaining a state issued card. the battle between the fbi and apple has taken a turn. the fbi says they believe the san bernardino shooters phone has critical clothes, but apple has yet to budge. >> reporter: a new plea and iphone battle hitting security against privacy.
