"run, hide or

the san diego police department confirms ... officials inside the medical center reported shots fired in the facility. police can not offer further details at this time. this is of course a breaking news situation. we will continue to bring you the very latest here on wsls 10 at noon and on wsls dot com. the trial is underway for a woman charged in connection with the murder of man at a roanoke hotel in june of last year. brea ann belcher of north carolina is charged with accessory after the fact to murder. police say geoffrey ndwiga of roanoke was found dead at the rodeway inn on orange avenue from apparent gunshot wounds. jamal daniels of south carolina was arrested and charged with first degree murder. mya rae lee was also charged with accessory after the fact. ### crews continue working around the clock to clear snow and slush from the streets after temperatures dropped below freezing last night. many are still dealing with slick conditions.

roanoke... who say this mix of slush and snow at the intersection of old mountain road and nelms lane is known for leaving drivers stranded. city leaders say some streets needed multiple passes because the snow was so packed down from cars coming and going during the snow storm. tammy perdue - 09:08:30 at the bottom of the hill, there have been people just stopped in the center of the road because they couldn't make it up the hill. bump to: don goode - 9:20:10 it's just something about that hill. every time it snows it's rough. i got stuck there two years in a row, back to back and had to walk home. as temperatures continue to rise this afternoon .. city crews will get another chance to clear the snow and ice. ### new at noon .. as roads continue to be cleared, transportation in roanoke is getting back to normal. valley metro returned to its normal routes after operating only on snow route for several days. meanwhile, danville's mass transit buses continue to operate only on snow routes.### the dig-out continues for

while the weather has caused multiple deaths, it has also forced federal government offices to close and thousands of flights are canceled. nbc's dan scheneman has the latest.### the snow has stopped, the clean up is far from over. sot "they're paralyzed by this storm." in new york, it was the second snowiest storm in the city's history and many streets are impassable. sot "i was supposed to work today and i couldn't go to work because i was afraid of falling." in the nation's capital, the government was closed monday along with schools and many businesses.... residents tried to dig out. :26-:28 elizabeth meyer "there's only so much you can do when you get 20 inches of snow." along the jersey shore... flooding..... the worst ever in the the town of west wildwood. erosion has left a number of homes on the coast in danger. sot "many of them on tinkering on the edge of falling over." some of the nation's busiest airports were brought to a

helps americans save for retirement. administration officials believe the president's plan will give 30- million additional people access to retirement savings. his ideas include offering tax credits to small businesses and requiring companies to offer retirement plans to part time employees. president obama's plan will be outlined in the 20-17 budget which will be submitted to congress next month.### the manhunt continues for three inmates who escaped a maximum security prison in california. security experts say the men likely had help during their escape. authorities believe the inmates benefited from the complacency of the jail staff. investigators are focusing on suburban communities in the area where the men could potentially be hiding with friends, family or fellow gang members. the inmates escaped early friday morning after sawing through a metal gate and crawling through plumping tunnels.### florida police are investigating a robbery after one man was almost killed while meeting up for what he thought was a

roy-shawn scarleet says he came close to dying after attempting to meet someone through an online dating app. he says he and the person planned to meet at a mutual place but when he got there, his date and two other men attacked him. royshawn scarlett / victim "guy with the gun told me to get on the ground." "they almost took my son's life, which is like taking my life." roy-shawn's mother is asking the community for help and says she's afraid the attackers will continue terrorizing others in the community.### the south carolina church where nine people were killed last year now has a new pastor. reverend doctor betty deas clark has been appointed the first female pastor of the historic emanuel a-m-e church. she says if the congregation as a family believes in god, the church's best days are ahead. the church's pastor reverend doctor clementa pinckney was one of the victims of last june's

anticpation of the panthers win sunday night.... "i don't think you can ever have too much panthers gear" and hundreds of fans came to load up on merchandise ahead of the super bowl... harrison sticket sot full harrison stickel - been a fan since i was 14, 15 years old when they came here in 1995 the store normally opens at 9 a.m..but they opened monday at 6 a.m. because of the demand and excitement. sot full we're going to the super bowl for the second time.i'm really excited about it and many of those fans have looked into going to san francisco to cheer on their panthers in the super bowl. sot full i like our chances, i think we're pretty much comfortable with our chances of winning. but a ticket and trip out there will cost you... the cheapest tickets are going for about $37-hundred dollars. while hotel and ticket packages start at $57- hundred and if you want round-trip airfare too...it will cost you nearly $7- thousand dollars. sot full looked into going to the super bowl, obviously that's a little up there in terms of price so probably just going to stay around here and watch it at home. and home will be where most fans watch the game....but

cases ... all thieves need is your name, social security number and date of birth. an identity theft resource center spokeswoman says most people don't know their tax refund is stolen until they try to file their taxes. experts suggest filing early to avoid being a victim.### a new stroller aims to help make parents' lives a little easier. designers are working on a self-propelling stroller called "the smart-be." it includes an electric engine that makes going uphill easier. the new stroller also features a bottle warmer, built-in music, cameras and a rocker. of course ... there's a hefty price for this high-tech baby carrier. it will likely cost nearly 3- thousand dollars when it hits the market next year.### now for a look at stories making headlines in the entertainment world... if you're suffering from cabin fever ... you may need a little entertainment to brighten your spirits.
