children safely," "now supporters are sending their condolences to the family, in blacksburg dc wsls ten," the search is now over this morning for nicole. rescue crews and loved ones searched each day since the 13- year old went missing earlier this week. here's a look back at how the investigation first started. police say lovell was last seen around midnight tuesday at her family's apartment. her mother believes she disappeared wednesday morning. family members say she's in danger because she has to take medication twice a day after having a liver transplant. with that in mind...law enforcement agencies along with organizations like help save the next girl spent much of this week searching endlessly for the teen. news of her disapperance spread across social media reaching tens of thousands of people.

straight street ministries says it plans to have more events during the year in efforts to combat the issue of human trafficking. more than 100 people came together to raise awareness about human trafficking. the event happened at straight street ministries in roanoke. it included a short film and a parent - children discussion about the dangers of online predators. straight street wants to educate the public on trafficking and provide shelter for victims. the organization's director says human trafficking is not only a problem for young girls. deanna wallace from homeland security was the guest speaker at the event. a norfolk woman is dead after being shot by her son. authorities say it happened 79-hundred block of westcliff drive. police say the victim, 43-year old sonya hunter was found on the ground outside her home wounds. she was taken to sentara norfolk general hospital where she later

tuesday taking temperatures back to the upper 40s and this morning ... the investigation into 13-year old nicole lovell's death continues. police discovered lovell's remains saturday afternoon around four p-m on route-89 in surry county near the virginia and north carolina border. authorities say 18-year old david eisenahuer is being charged in connection to lovell's abduction and death. eisenhauer is a freshman at virginia tech. he is being held without bond at the montgomery county jail. we will continue our coverage on this investigation this evening at six as police continue searching for more clues. you can also check our website wsls.com for updates. turning to national headlines this morning ... an ohio man is facing charges after police say he traveled to california with the intent to have sex with a minor.

23-year old joel wright. according to federal investigators, wright's arrest comes after a months long investigation. reports state the first-year seminary student engaged in frequent email messages, indicating his interest in sexually assaulting children between the ages of one and four. the last two escaped orange county inmates are now back in police custody after more than one week of searching. california authorities captured 37-year old hosseing nayeri and 20-year old jonthan tieu saturday after they were found in a stolen van. a woman called police after seeing a van matching the description of the vehicle that was reportedly stolen by the inmates. when police approached the van, one prisoner fled while the other attempted to hide inside. meanwhile, sheriff sandra hutchens says there's an increase in security at the jail since the inmates' escape. certainly our focus was getting these individuals back into custody as quickly as
