area. on saturday... police said they found the teen's body just over the virginia border... in surry county. north carolina. jenna-- this morning there are still a lot of questions about the two virginia tech students who were arrested over the weekend in connection with nicole lovell's death. and this morning freshman track star, david eisenhauer will go before a judge for an arraignment hearing. according to montgomery county commonwealth's attorney ... eisenhaur will appear in juvenile and domestic relations court. no time has been set for that hearing. he's charged with kidnapping and first degree murder. the other student, natalie keepers, is charged with improper disposal of a body.. and accessory after the fact. nicole lovell was last seen on tuesday-- when a massive search began. officers say the search led them

"investigators continue to be very busy today with pursuing the approximately 3 hundred leads generated over the past 5 days. they're still conducting additional interviews and working through evidence collection, processing, and analysis." as part of that investigation.. a police dive team searched a pond on virginia tech's campus yesterday. students and people who live in blacksburg can expect to see increased police presence throughout the week. extra counselors will be available at blacksburg middle school... to help students cope with the loss of their classmate. lovell was in seventh grade. special rooms will be set up for students needing extra time. students will start the day in "teams"... where they talk about what happened... and how to cope with loss. lovell's church held a special

investigators say he and nicole knew each other before her disappearance.. and he used that relationship to abduct and kill her-- then used keepers to help hide the body. nicole's remains were found saturday afternoon in north carolina, about a hundred miles from home. nocg"as far as how i felt... devasted, very saddeneded, i have 3 daughters, i couldn't image" butted "we saw the officers going by and we knew then that something had to be bad for all the officers we saw. police say the investigation will continue throughout the week. as part of that ongoing investigation, a police dive team searched a pond on virginia tech's campus yesterday-- and there will continue to be an increased police presence in the area. we're continuing to learn new details about the two virginia tech students charged in the case. 18-year-old david eisenhauer ran cross country at virginia tech. the school announced his suspension from the team... following his arrest. before college.. eisenhauer ran track at wilde lake high school.... in columbia, maryland. he was a standout in the sport... while running for the school. meanwhile... we are still

about the female suspect... natalie keepers. she's a sophomore engineering student at virginia tech. here's video of the area where keepers grew up. she's also from maryland. the 19 year old is charged with one felony count of improper disposal of a body. # we'll continue to follow this story through out the day... stay with us on air and online at wsls dot com for updates. # a virginia man is facing charges... after shooting a police officer in richmond. police say 23 year old keith smith junior is charged with aggravated assault on an officer ... and possesion of a firearm... among other charges. the officer was shot in the leg. he's expected to make a full recovery. the officer's name has not been released at this time. # jury selection begins today for the six alleged gang members... accused of abducting and killing waynesboro reserve police captain kevin quick. in january... attorneys for the six asked to have several gun charges thrown out... which the judge denied. quick was reported missing

his body was found several days later. a federal judge in charlottesville declared a mistrial last may... after a defendant shared a list of personal information about potential jurors. the trial was moved to roanoke. # one of the men charged with killing bennie sigmon in danville goes on trial today. jibri pettus is charged with first degree murder... as well as other charges. pettus.... along with three others are charged with shooting sigmon.... when he went outside to confront them for trespassing. in october... evin shaw was sentenced to nearly 80 years in prison... after pleading guilty to similar charges. kadarius ferrell and maurice williams will go on trial later this year. # new this morning... a blind man escapes his burning home in amelia county. it happened around 8 sunday morning... at eggle-stetton road and patrick henry highway.. the roads were shut down for hours while crews battled the flames. you can see the home is destroyed. the couple who lives here lost everything.

florida's legoland is hiring people who can't get enough of the colorful building blocks. according to "time magazine" ... the company is accepting applications from people of all backgrounds to be "master model builders" at their factory in lake wales, florida. the hiring process isn't traditional as applicants may have to participate in a "build-off" to show off their amazing interlocking skills. the florida site is said to have hired about 50 model builders so far. the big game is less than a week away, but super bowl advertisers are already out in force online.

traffic report. we are following a developing story out of blacksburg... two virginia tech students are being held without bond this morning-- in connection to the death of a middle schooler. 13-year old nicole lovell was last seen at her home in blacksburg. her family says she went missing between midnight and seven a-m wednesday. since then...officers from seven agencies... including the f-b- i... searched the area. on saturday... police said they found the teen's body just over the virginia border... in surry county. north carolina. jenna-- this morning the student charged with the abduction and murder of nicole

arraignment hearing. according to montgomery county commonwealth's attorney ... 18- year-old david eisenhaur will appear in juvenile and domestic relations court. no time has been set. meanwhile another student, natalie keepers-- is facing charges of improper disposal of a body and accessory after the fact. thirteen-year- old nicole lovell was last seen on thursday at her home in blacksburg. a massive search began on wednesday for the teen - a liver transplant recipient who was dependent on daily medication to stay alive. that search led officers to eisenhauer. investigators say he and nicole knew each other before her disappearance.. and he used that relationship to abduct and kill her-- then used keepers to help hide the body. nicole's remains were found saturday afternoon in north carolina, about a hundred miles from home. nocg"as far as how i felt... devasted, very saddeneded, i have 3 daughters, i couldn't image" butted "we saw the officers going by and we knew then that something had to

we saw. police say the investigation will continue throughout the week. as part of that ongoing investigation, a police dive team searched a pond on virginia tech's campus yesterday-- and there will continue to be an increased police presence in the area. in the studio, eb wsls 10 we're continuing to learn new details about the two virginia tech students charged in the case. 18-year-old david eisenhauer ran cross country at virginia tech. the school announced his suspension from the team... following his arrest. before college.. eisenhauer ran track at wilde lake high school.... in columbia, maryland. he was a standout in the sport... while running for the school. meanwhile... we are still working to find out more information about the female suspect... natalie keepers. she's a sophomore engineering student at virginia tech. here's video of the area where keepers grew up. she's also from maryland. the 19 year old is charged with one felony count of improper

we'll continue to follow this story through out the day... stay with us on air and online at wsls dot com for updates. # a virginia man is facing charges... after shooting a police officer in richmond. police say 23 year old keith smith junior is charged with aggravated assault on an officer ... and possesion of a firearm... among other charges. the officer was shot in the leg. he's expected to make a full recovery. the officer's name has not been released at this time. # jury selection begins today for the six alleged gang members... accused of abducting and killing waynesboro reserve police captain kevin quick. in january... attorneys for the six asked to have several gun charges thrown out... which the judge denied. quick was reported missing in february 2014. his body was found several days later. a federal judge in charlottesville declared a mistrial last may... after a defendant shared a list of personal information about potential jurors. the trial was moved to roanoke.

one of the men charged with killing bennie sigmon in danville goes on trial today. jibri pettus is charged with first degree murder... as well as other charges. pettus.... along with three others are charged with shooting sigmon.... when he went outside to confront them for trespassing. in october... evin shaw was sentenced to nearly 80 years in prison... after pleading guilty to similar charges. kadarius ferrell and maurice williams will go on trial later this year. # new this morning... a blind man escapes his burning home in amelia county. it happened around 8 sunday morning... at eggle-stetton road and patrick henry highway.. the roads were shut down for hours while crews battled the flames. you can see the home is destroyed. the couple who lives here lost everything. the homeowners son describes his blind father's escape as a miracle.. rodger delp, son: "in a somewhat state of confusion, he had no idea the house would beone fire. he knew something was wrong immediatly though when

family. cardiovascular disease is a killer for both men and women.... however, for the past thirty years the death rate has been higher for women than men. the american heart association aims to identify why women carry more risk. it is the number one killer of women and is more deadly than all forms of cancer combined. nearly 50- thousand women died from heart attacks in 2014... according to the centers for disease control and prevention's national center for health statistics. a cleveland clinic cardiologist that women don't always recognize the signs of heart attack, which could be part of the problem. dr. deborah kwon, cleveland clinic cardiologist "they don't necessarily have the crushing chest pain where it feels like an elephant is sitting on their chest," said dr. kwon.
