she went missing from a caretakers home in scottsville on friday and was believed to be in extreme danger. the girl's father is now wanted for abduction and violating a protective order. 25-year-old james moses is from lyndhurst and investigators say he could be in augusta county. officers say he may be driving a light-color sedan or brown ford explorer with virginia plates. moses also has a history of child abuse. in 2013 he was accused of raping and sexually abusing a 5-year-old girl. he entered an alford plea and was sentenced to a year in jail.### a former bedford police officer is indicted for possesion of child pornography. 54-year old brian mcalexander was arrested over the weekend in henry county. he faces six felony indictments for possessing child pornography. police say mcalexander was the target of a child exploitation case last year. he is being held without bond. # happening today.. the mother of a five-year-old who died in a septic tank is due in court.

faces abuse and neglect charges in connection with the death of five-year-old noah thomas. wsls ten's erin brookshier joins us live with the latest on this case.### it's been nearly a year since five- year-old noah thomas disappeared in pulaski county.. leading to a massive five day search for the boy. dozens of state and federal agencies were involved in the search.. that eventually found noah's body in a septic tank near the family's home on march 26. according to the medical examiner.. noah drowned, with hypothermia as a contributing factor. investigators say there were some scratches on noah's body, but no signs of abuse.. and a toxicology test came back negative. noah's mother, ashley white, originally faced a felony homicide charge-- but that was dropped in august of last year. she now faces two class six felonies of child abuse and neglect, after she and noah's father, paul thomas, left noah and another child at home while white drove thomas to work.

bowl 50 was well worth all the hype... last night cam newton and the carolina panthers faced peyton manning and the denver broncos. vo he may be the nfl mvp but newton can't add a lombardi trophy to his trophy case... the bronco's took down the panthers 24-10 led by a strong effort by the denver defense .. that accounted for 7 sacks in the game. though peyton manning didn't have the best game of his career... to say the least.. he finished 13 for 23 for 141 yards. but it was just enough to seal his second super bowl championship... his 200th career win. alyssa the question everyone is asking.. is this manning's last game? was not answered. not yet at least. i'll talk more about the super bowl later in sports. if you don't watch for the football... you watch the super bowl... for the commercials... and this year they didn't disappoint. dollar-44. # there's good news this morning for potential home buyers. average long- term u-s mortgages have fallen for the fifth straight week. mortgage buyer freddie mac says the average rate on a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage dropped to 3.72 percent. that's down from last week and it's the lowest since it averaged 3.68 percent in april of last year. the average rate on a 15-year fixed-rate mortgage is also down, sliding to 3.01 percent.

schooler went missing from her family home late last month. her body was found in north carolina a few days later. david eisenhauer is charged with first degree murder and abduction. natalie keepers is charged with accessory before the fact of first degree murder. # new this morning... thousands of people are showing support this morning for a new group based in nelson county dedicated to helping the missing and the endangered. the aware foundation was co-founded by trina murphy. murphy's life changed in august 20-13 when her niece alexis murphy vanished. a jury found randy taylor guilty of her abduction and murder, but her remains have never been found. trina murphy "this foundation is in honor of alexis, it's something that will be in dedication to her memory and we will always keep that in the forefront." aware plans to distinguish itself from other group, like help save the next girl, by focusing more on families and collaborating more with police. the facebook page launched last wednesday and already has

foundation has a go fund me page where it has raised over 1 thousand dollars for start up costs.### in this morning's 10 cares heart health, we all know it's important to get a regular checkup. but it's just as important to let your doctor know about your family medical history. fred saint clair lost his father and two brothers to heart attacks. all were under 40 years of age. he felt like so many .. that because he hadn't had any problems, that he may not be affected. but at the age of 42, he was hit with his first of five heart attacks. fred st. clair/heart attack survivor "i was in good shape. i seemed healthy. i was very active and no signs of it until it woke me up at 4 o'clock one morning and i had to go to roanoke memorial with it. the american heart association says even if the disease runs in says even if the disease runs in your family, it is possible to lower your risk. some things you can do are change your diet, exercise and if you smoke, quit.###

republican donald trump are in the lead by double digits. but after talking to voters there is a lot of indecision. nbc's tracie potts is there tracking the numbers... before the polls open tomorrow. trudging through snow... wet alleys... up stairs... and literally pounding the pavement we caught up with hillary clinton's team trying to make up her double- digit deficit here. sot: nancy shamban, clinton supporter :13 - :19 "people here that we've knocked on doors they really haven't made up their minds." the indecision... even worse for republicans. sot: marco rubio, r presidential candidate :22 - :29 "we have to win this election, we have to. if you vote for me, it you nominate me, we will win this election." more than 4 in 10 republicans told the university of massachusetts they could still change their minds. sot: michael lopez, new hampshire voter :36 - :42 "people are looking for people to make decisions and they're trying to analyze who's the best person to make those decisions." the most solid republicans here: trump voters. sot: donald trump, r presidential candidate :46 - :48

petition to remove convictions when the offense happened before a person's 21'st birthday and five years have passed since the completion of probation. we spoke with members in "virginia normal" which is a group dedicated to marijuana reform and they say they're glad to see a bi-partisan effort to reduce penatlies . we don't often see that in many issues at all, but they are working together because i think they recognize that our current situation of putting people in jail and arresting, is just not working," there are two other senate bills and so far no vote has been made to approve or deny the bills. two years after one of the worst coal ash spills in u.s. history, the country's largest electric company is digging up and hauling away the residue. the 2014 disaster polluted the dan river and led legislators to order duke energy to close all of its coal ash pits in north carolina by 2029. it's also closing its south carolina pits.

leading to a massive five day search for the boy. dozens of state and federal agencies were involved in the search.. that eventually found noah's body in a septic tank near the family's home on march 26. according to the medical examiner.. noah drowned, with hypothermia as a contributing factor. investigators say there were some scratches on noah's body, but no signs of abuse.. and a toxicology test came back negative. noah's mother, ashley white, originally faced a felony homicide charge-- but that was dropped in august of last year. she now faces two class six felonies of child abuse and neglect, after she and noah's father, paul thomas, left noah and another child at home while white drove thomas to work. it's a case that some people say has hit close to home in pulaski and across the region over the past year. doesnt want to be indentified 8:23:16 im a mother of two sons that are grown but it

today is the last day you can sign up. there are different ways to register. you can sign up on the virginia department of elections website ... at a local registrar's office or at the d-m-v. ### there are several bills going through the virignia senate committee. some are dealing with decrimanlizing marijuana. senate bill 104 if approved --- decriminalizes simple marijuana possession and provides a civil penalty. and there's senate bill 22. which allows a person to petition to remove convictions when the offense happened before a person's 21'st birthday and five years have passed since the completion of probation. we spoke with members in "virginia normal" which is a group dedicated to marijuana reform and they say they're glad to see a bi-partisan effort to reduce penatlies . we don't often see that in many issues at all, but they are working together because i think they recognize that our current situation of putting people in jail and arresting, is just

there are two other senate bills and so far no vote has been made to approve or deny the bills. two years after one of the worst coal ash spills in u.s. history, the country's largest electric company is digging up and hauling away the residue. the 2014 disaster polluted the dan river and led legislators to order duke energy to close all of its coal ash pits in north carolina by 2029. it's also closing its south carolina pits. the bill for a long-delayed cost of burning coal for power could burden consumers. duke energy faces about $4 billion in cleanup costs. if it's all passed along to customers, it could add $18 per year to power bills.### today: scattered wintry mix with highs in the
