harrington's mother gil describes the news jesse matthew junior is expected to enter a plea deal in the hannah cases. matthew is facing adbuction and murder charges in the cases which were scheduled to go to trial later this year. i spoke with mrs. harrington this afternoon and she tells me they are very relieved. she says she's glad the lawyers were able to successfully come to what she describes as the most logical and compassionate resolution. she tells me it's logical because of the expense of going through two more trials when matthew a sexual assualt case in fairfax. gil harrington says it's compassionate for them because it's been 6 1/2 years since morgan disappeared and it's been daunting for them. matthew's hearing will take place wednesday at 1:30. a henry county man is lucky to

alive tonight after his mobile home exploded in flames while he was inside. he has third degree burns over most of his body. wsls 10's colter anstaett spoke to the neighbor who pulled the man to safety. this morning, lillie paige arnold and her husband were at 71 graham park drive trying to salvage what is left after the mobile home was destroyed by a fire saturday morning. lillie and her husband own the trailers in the mobile home park. lillie paige arnold/propert y owner "we gonna clean it up. we aint going to put nothing back here." the fire marshal's office says the fire broke out around 9:30 a.m. when the man who lives there, william meredith, lit a cigarette while on home oxygen. lisa garrett/assista nt fire marshal "he set himself on fire which then, of course, set the trailer on fire." timothy bryant lives next door and was working nearby when he and another neighbor heard the explosion. timothy bryant/vo, no phoner graphic here "i got off the ladder, jumped in my vehicle, and went down there." he got to the home just in time to see meredith on fire and laying on his back on his front steps. graphic timothy bryant/phoner graphic goes here "his legs

in the fire and his back was laying out his front door so i ran up onto his small porch and picked him up and threw him in my car." he says he wasn't thinking about anything except getting his neighbor to safety and he says he doesn't want to take credit for the heroic act. timothy bryant "it was all god. it wasn't me. there's no way i could've picked that gentleman up by myself." bryant says meredith's family tells him that meredith is slowly but surely recovering and is doing well. in henry county, colter anstaett, wsls 10. two people were killed in a fire at a marina in middlesex county. virginia state police says it's being investigated as arson. middlesex county deputies say they were called to the dozier yachting center around 4:30 this morning. the fire was contained nearly 4-hours later ... but not before destroying nearly two dozen boats and two cars. the coast guard is overseeing the environmental impact of the fire ... while state police continues

washington county deputies say a body was found in the north fork of the holston river on sunday. according to deputies ... the body was found around 5 p-m. authorities believe it could be missing washington county woman jennifer rowe. rowe was last seen walking back to her home in the north fork river road section of washington county on december 3-rd of last year. the body was sent to roanoke for an autopsy. the man charged with killing his wife and a prince william county police officer was arraigned today. 31-year-old ronald hamilton was arrested saturday after police say he shot his wife and officer ashley guindon following a domestic dispute. 2 other officers were hurt. tonight... ashley's hometown of merrimack new hampshire is remembering her service to the community. rhondella richardson reports. there are flowers outside of the merrimack nh home of 28 year old ashley

killed in virginia. her high school prinicpal ken johnson remembers guindon as a cheerleader before high school and a u-s marine afterward. her final year book thought reads "live for something rather than die for nothing." ken johnson/princip al, merrimack nh high school "the irony is a bit overwhelming. a kid who gives her life to community service only to have it taken away the very first day.that's just not fair." sworn in to the prince williams county police dept on friday. ashley guindon was shot and killed the next day responding to a domestic violence call on her very first shift, the night shift. sgt. stephan hudson/prince williams county police dept. "they approached the front door of the home and the subject inside the home, later identified as the accused, opened fire." 32 year old ronald hamilton/of woodbridge, virginia has been arrested for capital murder. he's accused of killing guindon and his own wife and accused of shooting two other officers. merrimack nh police this morning lowered its flag and escorted guidon's mom and aunt to the airport for the trip to virginia.

wsls 10's rob manch joins us now live from a help save the next girl event in roanoke. rob .. i understand you spoke with a board member about this development .. help save the next girl is actually hosting a fundraiser here tonight. but like you said, i was able to speak with one of the board members who says it's a relief that this case may finally be coming to a close. of course gil harrington started the organization after matthew allegedly murdered her daughter back in 2 thousand 9. board member bruce bryan says finally closing the book on that case would allow the organization to for the first time focus all its energy on the reason it was founded: to make sure what happened to morgan never happens again. bruce bryan, help save the next girl: "can you imagine how much energy has gone into this case that we're going to hear about, and all the work and effort that has gone into getting to where they are on wednesday? well now, a lot of
