it. for ted cruz, everything is at stake because look at this. his home state votes on super tuesday. he's got to win there. if he can get 50% of the vote there he can get away with the lion's share of the delegates but he has to do more. all these southern states, that is where ted cruz has banked his campaign. he's got to find a way to win there. as for marco rubio, it's unclear where he can win. he's been targeting minnesota, virginia, arkansas, he can keep getting delegates by coming in a close second or third, but he's got to find a place to win. i think 20% is his biggest number, 20% in texas if he gets less than that he can get shut out of all of texas' delegate. >> they have to build up enough delegates to try to block trump even if they can't get there themselves. on the democratic side hillary clinton coming out of that big win saturday in south carolina. looks like she's ready to roll through the south. >> that's right and bernie sanders has to find a way to win somewhere where we don't expect him to. his home state votes, he can win there. probably massachusetts next door

[ cheers and applause ] we're following three breaking news stories across the area. firefighters are investigating what caused a huge fire at this burger king in salisbury. in the last hour, the intersection reopened. nearby businesses say they don't have any power. the fire started around 4:00 this morning and caused a lot of damage. the roof is gone. at one point firefighters told crews on scene they were using a thousand gallons of water a minute. a couple in cleveland county died. troopers say the driver lost control and hit the couple's home and a propane tank. firefighters rushed to rescue the couple but they died at the hospital. the truck's driver is in the

threatening injuries. police believe this mini van hit and killed a man on central avenue at 3:00 this morning. police found the van in an apartment building parking lot a quarter mile away from the scene. the front windshield was broken. the bumper's hanging off. in the last hour a reporter on scene saw a man being taken away in a patrol car from the apartments. police haven't confirmed an arrest. traffic team 9's mark taylor is monitoring the morning drive for us in the traffic sentser. >> earlier wreck 77 south near tyvola road. that's cleared. look at this congestion approaching the john belk. i would jump on south tri on or south boulevard as the alternate. but over all traffic is thinning out. >> 56 in charlotte. approaching 50 in the mountains. cloud cover now. but that thins out quickly. we will enjoy sunshine through the day today. approaching at least 70 this afternoon. a very breezy southwest wind. warm tomorrow. but a chance of rain picks up tomorrow night.
