jump on 73 back to the interstate and you'll get around most of the congestion. john? in the next hour, a woman is due in court. police say that she killed three people, shot to death in a gaston county home halfway between stanly and iron station. angela hong has been there on the scene all morning long and just learned more about the relationship between one of the suspects and one of the victims. angela? >> reporter: john, so far, investigators have not identified two of the victims. as soon as they do, crystal gambino could have more charges against her. we learn that does she had a troubled marriages with her husband, giovanni. she had claims of him threatening to her hurt and himself.

board. neighbors say they heard banging noises around 8:00 yesterday morning. the family member asked police to do a welfare check 12 hours later and found three adults dead on the property. one of them was giovanni gambino. many people are shocked because they said that the couple seemed to be nice people. >>i couldn't believe it at first, you know. i had people out here and i was look down the road and i seen all the lights and i said, wow. you know, you hear all kind of rumors, but just wait and see what happened. >> reporter: crystal gambino will be in court in about an hour and channel 9 will be there to bring you an update on eyewitness news at 5:00. angela hong, channel 9, news. >> he was first and foremost a human being. frustration in raleigh after witnesses say that a

neighborhood coming up. police are investigating a deadly crash on the side of windy grove road near berry hill road. the crash happened after the final bell. medic says one person died and three others were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. right now, millions of voters are casting ballots for a presidential nominee, super tuesday, of course. candidates are making last- minute stops across the country hoping to snap up a few votes. stephanie ramos is at a polling site in virginia to explain what is at stake. >> reporter: there is a reason why it's called super tuesday. it's the biggest voting day of the year leading up to the general election. voters in 12 states and the u.s. territory are heading to the polls. >> i believe it's important that we stayed unified as a

trump and clinton could win big ahead end of primary day today. stephanie ramos, virginia. and i-77, the northbound lanes at gilead road, a tanker truck involved in a crash, and they are trying to get this cleaned up. it's willfulling an armored truck, and the backup, it stretches for about four miles as crews work to clean this up. we'll keep an eye on this and monitor the backups. you can see the empty lanes there, and here come the backups, a solid stretch. an early on morning shooting in west charlotte.

new at noon, a high-speed days in caldwell county ended with a crash and a motorcycle rider in the hospital. the chase started south of lenoir after officers spotted a motorcycle with expired tags. the rider crashed on star crossroad after turning into a dirt drive. witnesses told channel 9 that the rider ran from the scene and was tackled by officers about 100 yards away. >> i thought -- it scared me. i thought he was -- yeah. >> police say charges are pending against the rider, and they are trying to determine if drugs may be involved. tonight accident a cleeferred county community will remember an elderly couple killed after an explosion at their home.

we're staying on top of breaking news, i-77 northbound lanes look like this. right now, this is gilead road, backed up for a four good miles as police are cleaning up the crash scene involving a tanker truck and an armored truck. they just got the armored truck out of the way and are working on the tanker. we'll keep an eye on that. police are trying to piece together what led to a woman getting shot in the head in northwest charlotte, one of three crime scenes they are investigating throughout the city. neighborsor edge today. >> reporter: john, neighbors tell us that they're concerned after waking up and learning that a woman was found shot in the parking lot of north cross apartments. you can see the scene is clear but there are a lot of questions about how she ended up here and exactly what

connected to three total crime scenes. before 3:30, police responded to the area and found a woman grazed in the head by a bullet. she is cooperating with their investigation. police told us they don't believe she was shot here. officers told us that the original crime scene was a few blocks away on capps hill road. investigators found multiple shell casings there and a car shot near griers grove and baities ford -- beatties ford road. police are worried these crimes are putting too many families at risk. >> we got kids around here, and we have shootings, crazy. >> reporter: we are asking police if they developed any possible suspects and the latest on the victims' condition. we are waiting to bring you the

30-foot waves in a storm off the south carolina coast. a police officer killed on the first day of her job is being laid to rest. the funeral just started for prince william county officer ashley guindon. police say that a suspect killed her on saturday after he killed his wife. he shot two other officers, and they are expected to recover. police in charlotte are trying to figure out what led to a shooting at a 7-eleven at beatties ford road and i-85. it may have been involved an angry customer. nobody was hurt. turning to weather, it's beautiful out there, but it won't last. keith monday is here with more. yeah. the clouds are moving in, the white shadings moving in to the west and moving in pretty quickly.

here's a look here's a look . we have good news to report. i-77, northbound lanes south of gilead road are starting to move once again and looks like they might have gotten the tanker truck out of the way and it appears that the road is starting to re-open but the back up is so big t will take a while for this to clear out. starting today, people across north carolina will have to pay more for services for car care. it will range from 6.75% to 7.5%. this was part of an effort to
