look at that. you're looking at the fiery aftermath of a street racing crash in renton, washington. this is from over the weekend. police say a subaru forester and mazda 3 collided after their race. the subaru driver and passengers were ejected. fifrths will to extricate victims out of the mazda. police say the area is notorious for illegal street racing. the search has been called off for the third victim of a tugboat accident in the hudson river north of new york city. divers say they can't reach the part of the boat where they believe the body is. the bodies of two others were recovered over the weekend. the tugboat hit a barge in the river early saturday morning.

colson was a four-year veteran of the force who would have turned 29 this coming week. we get more now from abc's gloria riviera. >> reporter: authorities are holding two suspects in connection with a police shooting in maryland. just before 5:00 p.m., shots erupted outside prince georges county police headquarters. >> it is my sad duty to come to the community this evening and to tell you that one of your defenders, jacai colson, a four-year veteran, a 29-year-old man, lost his life in defense of this county today. >> reporter: more than a dozen officers holding vigil in the aftermath, one suspect was apprehended near a local restaurant. a second suspect also later found. >> this is truly a dark day in prince georges county. an unwarranted, unprovoked attack on our police officers at a police station. >> this is an act of cowardice. a new low in executing defenders

jacai was important to his family, he's important to this entire community. we have another mother tonight who is without her son, and for that, we are deeply sorry. >> reporter: authorities say at this time they do not believe more than two shooters were involved and are not commenting was targeted. gloria riviera, abc news, washington. also breaking overnight, interstate 40 in north carolina is once again opened. it was closed for several hours by a series of accidents involving about 100 vehicles. the pile-ups happened in both directions about 25 miles west of durham. at least 20 people were injured but there were no fatalities. there's no word on what caused the nine accidents. the u.s. is condemning a deadly terror attack in the capital of turkey. at least 34 people died in a car bombing yesterday in ankara. two of the dead are believed to be the bombers. police suspect kurdish militants carried out the attack which hit the main boulevard of the city.
